Fences, ponds, some golden eggs to get me pastel fences...all I seem to get.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Do I get 15 donuts for 50 ponds? I did get banana dictatorship and 10 donuts in my mystery box today though so that is something.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

You get the ineffable joy of owning 50 ponds.

I got Banana Dictatorship, which means another box of the lesser eggs. The first box replaced the Miserable Bunny.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Thanks to people dropping eggs in my basket and my acquiring eggs in various other means, I traded in enough blue eggs to earn eight pink boxes!

Three fences
Three sets of 300 gold eggs
Two beach umbrellas

I traded the eggs for two gold boxes:

Two pastel fences
Kodos topiary--I guess this is the big score of those 4000 pink eggs? Although I am now up to 24 fences (plus four umbrellas and four trees).

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I get why they made the change. Some people finish the event in two weeks, and then the last two weeks don't do anything and people playing slower have a harder time.

This way, most people keep playing until the end, or so they hope.

Reading the forums, it seems this "solution" didn't work.

Yeah, it killed my interest in the game. Retired it for now.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I, too, dislike it.

Bummed about this event and it's the first time an event has come around in my time playing (started just before Whacking Day last spring) that I've resigned myself to not getting all the prizes and being more than okay with it. The new buildings are cool and if I don't get them, it's okay. It's not worth hoarding a bunch of junk I don't want or need trying in vain to get them when the odds are so stacked against me.

It's a shame, too, as I love, love, love The Simpsons. I want to continue enjoying this game. But for now, I'm barely remembering to tap once a day and when I do I sometimes think, oh, yeah, but that will take a lot of time and don't always do it...

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Waiting in between updates got me interested in playing Family Guy. The Easter event led me to find Archie Riverdale Rescue (currently only on iOS or PC). I'm tapping bunnies there too. But each bunny tapped brings me one step closer to definite prizes. As characters are unlocked, you get to see the comics where they originally appeared.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I finally got a real prize, Banana Dictatorship. I guess I also got the rabbit and the Kang or Kodos topiary.

After a slow start with it, I'm really digging Family Guy right now.

This event has allowed me to sour on this game as well. It's very frustrating to keep getting fences or trees. I don't like how it is random like the wheel in previous events. Just give me obtainable and measurable goals like the friend point rewards. At least I know what I need to do and how long it will take me to get it.

I've also resigned myself to not getting the stuff I want. I'm going to keep tapping, but earlier I'd been thinking about buying an egg generator or something to help, and I'm not going to do that.

For those who have finished the main quest,
Spoiler:
on the positive side, a bunny dropped me a Faberge egg.

Also on the positive side, nickdawgy has started playing again for the first time in months.

I haven't tried Family Guy yet, but wait, there's an Archie game?

Spoiler:
Archie will die in the comics. This will be canon.

I wish the Simpsons have defined levels for prizes. I actually think they actually do because after so many fences and eggs, I got a bunny. After so many more trees, fences and egg, I got the fiesta restaurant. It is just so slow since they give so few eggs for visiting neighbors.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

They need to go back to the old way for events. Having clearly defined goals for prizes, even if it seemed hard, was much better than leaving it to chance. And it's certainly less frustrating.

Or just eliminate the events all together and make more levels and make them longer. I have no sympathy for people who speed up the game and then complain they have nothing to do.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

once you finish the main quest line for easter you stop receiving easter baskets. So don't finish the quest until the last day of this event if possible.

I don't either, but someone was saying earlier that people who finish then stop playing cause problems for us "normal" players because it gives us less to interact with, which I've definitely noticed in this event. They need to figure out a different solution, though.

In the past, they've let you turn in every thousand snakes (or whatever) for a mystery box. That seems like a good way to keep people engaged without penalizing those of us who don't get lucky with the random number generator.

I'm still getting baskets.
I haven't in days. I did a search as to why and the reason I read was because I finished the easter quest.

After the completion of the main quest line, you're locked out of additional random basket drops until the Faberge Egg randomly drops. They return after you win that Egg.

It's been coded that way by design. Yet another reason why this event is terrible.

That system made sense to me too, but apparently not to EA. Since I never speed things up, I've generally had enough time to finish the quests and get a few bonuses afterward. Only Whacking Day had me panicked and desperate.

That jibes with my game, because I did get the egg. I don't see the point of doing that, unless the egg is supereasy to get. I will admit that it is a really good item to have.

Yes it does.

I'd say roughly half of the people in my friends list aren't playing any more or just don't have anything for me to tap. Those are towns that I'm missing out on FP and eggs. I had enough pink eggs to get a box today.. got the 100 gold eggs prize. Which put me at 500 gold eggs.. turned that in.. fence piece..

I'm def not going to get the buildings and characters by the end of the event unless they extend it for a while or do something with the odds or make it so it takes less eggs to get a box.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

As I'm not quite tapping once per day (more than just the event not inspiring me, but also finals week looms and life with two kids instead of one is exponentially busier), you might find more to tap in my town if you go all the way to the south to the White House Farm on the south end of the city. Should be plenty of tapping to go around there.

Yay... more fences... though I guess on the plus side I'm at 23/50 placed.

Traded in blue eggs for a blue box just now.
