Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Has anyone bought any of the yard-sale stuff? I don't have a lot of donuts and I don't usually buy premium items, but some of them have nice multipliers, which I'm starting to pay more attention to.

For a while there I was rebooting once a day so that I didn't have to deal with it, but then I realized that was a dumb thing to be doing for a game that was already taking a lot of time to play.

You can scratch me off the OP list so people don't waste their time trying to add me.
That's too bad. What kind of phone are you using? I've heard of numerous issues with Androids, for example.

EVO 4G LTE. I've been trying to figure out how you guys can enjoy this game so much, but maybe it's just an android issue.

I play on the iPad, only play on my iPhone if in a pinch.; no way I would keep up with this game if I only played on a phone.

I've played it 98% on my Galaxy S3 (2% with Kindle Fire) and I've not had a single problem.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

How did you play this on Kindle Fire? I can't find it in the Amazon app store.

I had to archive the pet snake. I kept seeing it and thinking I had to tap it!

I found a donut while cleaning Springfield!

Nexus 7 and iPhone 5. It consumes my iPhone battery really fast and makes it really hot. It was the same with the 4. But you have to do what you have to do.

Iphone 4, and agree about the heat and battery. At least it doesn't reboot as often as it used to.

Ha, on today's The Simpsons, Carl goes back to Iceland. I know Carl's 24 hour task is to honor his Iclandic heritage, was this ever brought up on another Simpsons episode?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Logging in has been slow for me. I think I've had to force quit the app twice because the game was stuck in the login process.

The problem I'm having is that the game gets disconnected from the server fairly regularly, which kicks me back to the login screen.

Running on an iPad 2 with iOS 6.

I've been able to play without issues with both my Nexus 7 and my iPhone 5 today. Nexus 7 on wifi of course, and iPhone on LTE.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

My ipad over wi-fi keeps giving me the Bart Simpon retry everytime. Maybe they locked me out after trying the donut glitch a few times. :-)

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I was unable to connect around 7 am yesterday on two devices, got logged out somehow too.

Question about Springfield Downs. I've bet on two races and lost twice, do I need to keep betting, since the icon stays up or can I ignore it and still progress in the game?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The most annoying thing is when I'm visiting neighboring towns then it reboots and I have to start again from the beginning of the list. I guess I should start at the back when I'm visiting.

You can ignore it. I also lost a couple then gave up.

On a similar note, I was generally ignoring the scratch tickets until my kid pointed out that it's a no-lose proposition. But in addition to the $ scratches, they have donut scratches in which you can win up to 30 donuts for $0.99. I really hate to get into the micro-pings, but I've been thinking about buying some donuts so I can get some of the yard-sale multipliers, and this seems like at least as good a deal as a straight purchase of 12 donuts for $1.99, with potential for much better. Does anyone use this?
