Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I've won a couple Maggie games after my first attempt. I think part of my problem the first time was having to go into settings to turn on my SFX.

And yeah, it's tough in that only Maggie earns event currency, but just hitting the bears frequently has worked well enough to leave me only 5K away from the final prize with a week to go.

Something is definitely wrong with the registering of tapping her. It took me 15 seconds of tapping right on her.

I think we need to tap on the building and not on her. I almost ran out of time when I tried tapping the building instead and it worked.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I had a glitch today with Maggie as well. I did the first 3 over the past couple days and got a free donut reward. Today, I tried as well and after finding her, it would not let me tap on her at all. I kept tapping until the counter ran down. Now I have to wait 16 hours to try again

Also it seems like its going to be tight getting the last reward. Nothing gives pacifiers except the bears and Maggie's tasks. At least in the previous acts, various buildings gave event currency.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The first time I had the same issue with Maggie. I tapped everywhere. In the building. Around her. On her. etc. Somehow it worked in the last 5 seconds.

Second time it was fast.

I mean the times I was successful, the first time I couldn't find her

I tapped the building the last two times and it seems to work better.

Some of the premium stuff does. The two characters earn it. The Slide Factory pays 135 every 6 hours.

Though maybe not. Just looked at the calendar and for today it shows you should end with over 17000 and get the pizza place. I'm at 20600 currently. Just seems like I'm not getting much each day. I did spend 10 donuts last act to get the final prize. I think I was really close and didn't want to chance forgetting to play later at night to get it or miss because I didn't get enough event currency.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I missed out on the orphans, but was about a day ahead on festivus CBG, and am ahead for Gerald. I think I had more days off these last two cycles, I work 13 hour days when I work so playing is tough.

The best task to do is Marge walk Maggie which gives 18 pacifiers per 8 hours, Maggies 4 hour tasks give 6 and her 8 hour task is 9, so having Marge do that is the best pacifiers per hour task.

I got 3 doughnuts from finding Maggie game, having a crappy tiny town pays off!

I've just been tapping the hell out of the whole area and getting it to work.

The building payouts helped a lot in previous acts, but I'm not willing to pay donuts for the factory. I suppose it might somewhat pay for itself if I earn the prizes then donut bonuses, but I'm going to get the final prize soon so I'll probably pass.

I didn't even realize that Marge could help earn donuts. Of course I still have her recycling glass for the railyard tasks. And yeah, I know, the rail yard, but donuts.

Small update today that brings Apu's nephew to the game and Ling Bouvier as a premium character. Ling is available until the event ends

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I ended up springing for Apu's nephew's grocery store. That's a big building for 30 donuts.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Ditto, a great bargain. When I first clicked it, I figured it would be small, side by side with the Kwik-E-Mart, but no, I had to find a patch of land big enough for it!

I appreciate the new donut game with Maggie, too. Between that and the Monorail building, plus the extra opportunities to get 20 donuts here and there, they've found ways to be much more generous with donuts and I think it's great. The three donuts via the Maggie game every 48 hours is much more appealing than all the worrisome crafting via the Monorail game, though, I'll tell you what!

Anybody think Shawna is worth it for 90 donuts? I'm thinking about it. Anybody get the babysitter from season one?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I've got Shawna and Lucille Botzcowski. Shawna's 8hr and 12hr tasks are visual. Lucille's 1hr and 4hr tasks are visual. Neither are voiced.

I like Shawna. She's been useful for a number of events with various make youngsters do... tasks. Her 12hr task is pretty boring. She just walks around entering stuff on her phone, stopping to chuckle.

Lucille has a task in Calmwood, but none in the building she comes with.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I also bit on the 30-donut Quick & Fresh.

I just cashed in my (presumably final) pacifier bonus. Unfortunately the third stage of my current Maggie game is scheduled to start 90 minutes after the event ends. I guess I could rush it in the final minutes for two donuts to get a chance at three , but maybe the event will linger for a while.

I also got Lucille. She just looks so different from the other characters. I guess her being a season 1 character, there is a bit of crudeness to her drawing but I couldn't resist spending some of the donuts I got from this event.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

A while ago I was thinking I'd want a bear in my town, but I don't know if I'd pay 35 donuts for one. I'll do the update because we're having some seriously cold days in Minnesota and any chance to get rid of the snow, even virtual snow, is a welcome opportunity!

SO MUCH GREEN! MY EYES!

Glad I was able to finish off my Maggie donuts and squeeze out one last pacifier bonus yesterday.

me too! Maggie donuts continues after the update for me. Although it was the first time I failed to find her because did they remove the sound hints?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I like the bear, but I never spend donuts on the wandering NPCs. I have plenty of them already and most are in storage.

You're right, the Maggie donut mine looks like a permanent thing!

I hope the sounds aren't gone. I'll see what happens the next time I play. I did notice that she's now a bulk-assignable character so it'll be easy to mis-sync her with the factory game if we're not paying attention.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I thought it was pretty clear the Maggie Game was a permanent feature, a way to encourage people to finish the event for long-term returns.

I haven't tried storing her yet, does the Factory go with her?

Haven't done the update yet because my phone claims it doesn't have enough room and I moved it to my SD card but no, it says only some data but not the whole game moved. Weird.

I guess so. She came in during the event so I just associated her with that.

I did play the game and the sounds seemed normal.

Deep Space update came out today. Looks like an easy mini-event.
