Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Unlocked the last prize with a few days to spare, so either the TSTO calendar was correct or EA changed the algorithm to give people a break. Now I'm just crafting wailing walls. I'm probably leaving some crafting items on the table by pursuing the current quests but meh. I'd rather be sure I'm done before holiday starts. I'm surprised they've actually used some peripheral characters in the Girl One Cell Over and Ned-ducation Center quests instead of the same ones over and over.

My Re-Neducation Center is building.. That thing looks huge.

I have a ton of resources built-up.. Not sure what I'll use. Probably build a ton of whatever wall item gives the 0.05% bonus.

Also, I have about 210 donuts.. Trying to decide the best thing(s) to buy. I want a ton, of course, but can't get much with only 210. I'd love all the buildings+characters out there. Not as much concerned with purely character skins. THoughts on what best to get?

May want to wait and see if there are any characters worth getting when the Christmas update comes.

+1

But that aside, do you have any premium characters/buildings already? The cracker factory is probably my favorite so far since the Luann animations are great and it gives Kirk a premium task.

None so far. I think I got Sheri & Terri a while back for a past event that needed kids. I haven't spend donuts on much premium stuff and haven't bought any donuts for cash. Waiting for the next holiday event sounds good.

I am tempted by the Cracker Factory, Jasper and that building, Uter, Disco Stu to name a few.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Also, in previous years EA have had some kind of Black Friday deals. I don't remember any being really great, like most BF deals, but they help.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I've got around 240 donuts. I want Disco Stuf, but I'm holding out for a Black Friday sale to see if I can stretch those d-nuts a little more.

I keep considering Jasper because he was in a couple recent events. I did get Uter for the monorail, I think, and he came in handy for Halloween. Disco Stu has always seemed expensive to me. Basically 120 to me seems cheap, 150 about normal, and 180 expensive. I also have the sushi place (pretty good) and Frink's lab (OK).

I have rarely bought skins but got Saxophone Lisa when I thought I wasn't going to finish Halloween, and I kinda regret it. I did get all the prizes but I don't know if that really helped much.

They usually run a Thanksgiving event before running the xmas event.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Praise Jebus! With the event-ending update the unemployment office finally deploys all characters when assigned. (Except if they have open quest tasks.)

Also *now* they give us full sets of tasks for the new Halloween costumes? Seems kinda late. There were plenty of times during the event when I used, say, Luann's normal skin since I had her on something other than a 4 or 8 hour task.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Glad it's over. I'm really tired of the collect this to craft that formula and I was pretty underwhelmed with the event with the exception of getting Kodos and UBO. I'd rather zap gremlins and have community prizes. I'm really disappointed we didn't get to see Marge's kitty costume.

I was like 20 brains short of another wailing wall when I was forced to update.

I keep getting messages saying bonus prizes but I don't see anything available. I meant to craft a bunch of crap before the update but I forgot.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

But I really want that last outfit, the final prize. One of my favorite episodes ever.

Oh and said fuck it and put all my Christmas decorations back, in one corner, and all the lights are on too.

At least this event doesn't look like it will be all about grinding.

I used up all my eggs and brains. I spent skeletons and rabbit ears on various stuff, but still had thousands left of each, which didn't bother me.

Shockingly, the second stage uses some different characters.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Various characters have a special 2-hour task. There are three different ones (Hunt Turkeys, Bless Turkeys, and Import Turkeys). Do all three to get a free item.

This is the kind of thing that annoys me. No explanation, no nothing. I bulk-assign my characters to one-hour tasks, but Helen Lovejoy needs a building that I don't have so I have to manually assign her. While I usually pick the four-hour task, I saw there was a new two-hour Thansgiving one, and when she completed it, the message said "Thanksgiving Easter egg 1/3." I guess I could've put two and two together and tried assigning some of the other people who had random two-hour Thanksgiving tasks, but I just looked it up.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

You need to have earned the Rail Yard during the Monorail event. I don't think they've offered it outside of the event.
