I'm getting the PS4 still but look at the XO hoping it does good since I'll probably get it later on next year. But why the put down on Ryse...I thought it was being pushed at a major XO exclusive and almost as important as Forza. Is really a one button control game as bad as it's being made into?

Yes, of course it is. We've all played it. It's shit. Worst thing ever.

Stop being rational. It's wasted on the Xbox One haters. It's also a game system no one has played yet is "awful" and just exists to make money. Sony is all about making games out of its kindness for gamers.

Leaked multiplayer Ryse demo. Fully playable on most devices.

Ryse will most likely be an average game at best, but its good that they took feedback and removed the annoying button prompts from everywhere. I never planned on buying it in the first place, but I am looking forward to borrowing my friends and getting those achievements ;)

Don't worry, they'll announce another "ground breaking" indie game destined to sell hundreds of copies soon :)

Out of all the games, Ryse had some really bad looking gameplay demos so I think even Xbox buyers chuckle at it. That said, I honestly think it will end up being better then a lot of people expect.

Ryse just looks like a bad generic title to me despite Crytek being behind it. And the animation actually is pretty awful looking.

Forza 5 looks refined as hell for a launch title.

Was the demo too difficult? :(

I thought it looked like a AAA game.

From IGN:

Will you offer extension cables for the Kinect sensor? For those of us whose AV racks are a bit further than 3 meters away...

WHITTEN: It is something we are looking at, but don’t have anything to announce at this time.

Any chance, with the power of the cloud and new online functionality, that games and experiences like 1 vs. 100 might come back? i.e. "live" video games?

WHITTEN: Great question – we believe in the power of the community and live events and “1 vs. 100” is a great example of that in the past. We’ve been focused on building experiences around live or linear content – sports, fitness, live events and more. You’ll see many of these ideas in products like our NFL experience, the UFC experience and much more. This is an area where we will keep experimenting and learning with our community.

Is there a more robust stat tracking for seeing how long you have played each game?

WHITTEN: In Xbox One you will find a consistent and powerful experience for tracking your own activity and progress in any game or app, as well as comparing your stats with the people you care about. Some of the interesting gameplay statistics you can track include how long you have played and your overall progress on each game. In addition to this, each game and app will be able to showcase compelling and engaging aspects of their title (we call these hero stats) and display this directly on the Xbox One dashboard.

Outside of pining favorite games, how will I be able to organize my digital games?

WHITTEN: Your home screen always has the five things you've done most recently to give you fast access to the games you play the most. Your library shows you every game and game add-on you own, digital and physical, whether or not you have it installed, sorted by what you've done most recently. But Pins are the best way to organize the games, apps, websites, movies and TV shows, and music you care about.

900p is fine, but the little "but it upscales to 1080p!" was a stupid addition. No shit sherlock.

I kind of figured this gen has one of two options - either run at 1080p with X360/PS3 levels of detail or run at 720/900 with higher levels of detail.

900p? Might as well gather up all the copies and melt them down. At least the plastic will be worth more than that 900p piece of shit.

Alright. :)
I don't think 1080p matters in the least. A consistent frame rate is far more valuable to me, as long as there's sufficient quality and detail to distinguish it from "current gen" games. 720p, 900p, or 1080p are all good, in my eyes. So Ryse being 900p is totally fine. I didn't put /s or ;) in my last post, because I thought it was obvious.
