We? No, the kids on IGN? Absolutely.
Console Wars are Console Wars, and 13 year olds are still 13. |

There is a lot of "no shit" and "no duh" in this thread with a sprinkle of "Thank you, Capt. Obvious"

I don't know how old anyone is on IGN or any website unless it is public knowledge. I can only tell you based on what I've seen. It's prominent on Twitter as well, and most of those people appear to be adults.

re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
Thought I would toss this in here as well as in the Xbox Deals forum....eBay has cheap 12 month xbox live via newegg...just snagged one.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Microsoft-Xb...d/380681468442 EDIT: Looks like they all sold out in a few minutes :( |
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
Way to spam a dead deal.... ;)
|
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
Lol I tried. Sucks it ended so soon. I'll go find an anti-Xbox article to spam real quick...brb.

re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
You could always post how they are giving away 1 Xbox One a day at the Comic Con? in San Diego and we ain't there!
|
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
I'm here, but I am not there. I'm having a hard enough time trying to get my friends working there/going all 4 days to get me the two exclusive LEGO sets. Shit sells out every morning in like 10 minutes, I couldn't imagine trying to get the 1 XBOX a day.
|
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
OT but what Lego sets?
|
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
They have mini Hobbit and mini Star Wars sets this year, limited to 1000 each I believe.
http://www.brickset.com/news/article/?ID=7099 Both friends struck out again today, one of them is showing up at 4am tomorrow so hopefully he will have better luck. |
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
Looks like reports from Comic Con on the XBOX vs the PS4 are about what I was expecting in regards to the launch lineups for both systems. PS4 really doesn't have anything interesting announced or launching with their system, whereas XBOX has quite a bit. Killer Instinct and Ryse are impressing gamers, while Knack and Drive Club are not as much, mainly due to Knack looking like a kiddie PS3 title. I'm sure Octodad is the highlight of the PS4 games, and that game was awesome!
I've thought all along that Dead Rising, Killer Instinct, Forza, Kinect Sports and Ryse would shit all over Drive Club, Killzone and Knack, and it looks like a good chunk of Comic Con agrees so far. |
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that discostu1337's uncited roundup of options from E3 would favor the Xbox One.

When you read the IGN piece and other write ups by Googling that phrase, you'll see nothing but praise coming from their event. Who would've thought that firing Don Mattrick would've allowed the console to do a 180? |

re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
MS has announced that they have "15 exclusives and 8 new IP in the first year". These are the 16 announced and published by Microsoft Studios:
Meanwhile, Sony has announced that they have "20 exclusives and 12 new IP in the first year". Of those, they have actually announced five published by Sony Computer Entertainment:
It doesn't look like MS has many surprises left, but Sony is on their own PR plan, and I would bet that they will announce much more at Gamescom and Tokyo Game Show, as Europe and Japan are really Sony's home turf. |

re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
I was not speaking about which games either side have announced thus far for the future, but launch titles only. MS clearly has the stronger launch title exclusives. That is all I was getting at.

re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
Strangely enough, discostu, I couldn't find the article in IGN about how the XO titles shat all over the PS4 ones. I did find a video clip where two IGN editors moan for four minutes about how Ryse is still just a bunch of quick-time events and while it's beautiful, it's not fun to play. You must have missed that (though if it were a PS4 title they were complaining about, something tells me you might have caught it).

http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming...hrough-1167234 So yeah. Xbox shits on Playstation. Here's another video discussing everything that was playable in a fairly evenhanded way, and even they openly wonder why Sony didn't choose Killzone or Infamous to show. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/zoLmD7XarT8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> But to the question at hand "Will Xbox exclusives shit on Playstation exclusives"? Not even close since 2007, and they simply don't have the studios to make it happen. |
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
Frankly, games at Comic-Con are about as important as Sci-Fi shows and movies at E3. I've read articles on the coverage from Gamespot, Games Radar, Gameinformer, IGN, and Kataku and most are about current & upcoming sci-fi movies/shows, the most popular character costumes, comics and with gaming at the bottom.
The real treat for gamers of both systems will be Gamescon (Europe) and Toyko Game Show. I'm sure we'll see more surprises from Sony and MS. In fact the head of Sony Europe has stated that Sony didn't show off everything at E3 and more surprises are going to be unvealed at Gamescon. No doubt MS will to. In terms of which has the better games...honestly, everyone probably has their sights on Watchdogs, BF4, COD:Ghosts and might even add AC:Black Flag in the mix. I think lot of gamers were hoping though that The Divison would be released earlier than Qtr4....me included. |

Q4 is already crowded as it is and I'd rather have games I want to purchase on day one like The Division and Titanfall to come out over 2014 where I can actually devote some time to play them. |
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
Both have good games. Duh!
It's just that some people like some games better than others. Double duh! Too hard not to be a fanboy, right? I have an Xbox One preordered, since the first day, yes, I'm a believer, and Ryse sounds like the most boring thing since... ever. Not planning to get that game, unless it receives a perfect 10 or something like that ;) For release I will probably get FIFA 14 and a shooter. Yeah. |
