7. Do Not Disturb feature to follow?
One of the worst things about watching a DVD on Xbox is the stream of notifications from friends logging in - and that's only going to get worse, with 1000 friends. We asked if there'd be a way to say "Xbox - Don't Show Notifications Until The Doctor Who Special Has Finished", and the vague response implied that it would be accessible via menu settings. Microsoft, hear our request: Introduce this command: Xbox, Do Not Disturb.

Nice... That is the one thing that bothers me when I'd be watching a DVD or movie/tv show through Netflix or Amazon's app. I don't want to know people log in and/or send me a message. I don't want to deal with game invites while watching a movie. So this is a nice feature if it works like it sounds.

Please, please, please, please, please let me tag friends with games or somehow group them by the games I play with them.

It will make sorting a huge list so much easier.

Doesn't the 360 have a setting that turns those off while watching video? I'm almost positive that how my 360 is set.

I'm not sure.. Its not on be default if there is a setting.

And I agree with Miyu.. please let me create groups within my friends list to organize them better. Especially if there are going to be 1000 spots.

Yes it does.

Well the Youtube app on PS3 is very meh. It's ok to pair your phone and control it through the phone but I have a phone with a nice 1080p screen that is more easily accesible to youtube. I'v never heard anyone tout the Youtube app on th 360 to be great either. My guess would be that they are retooling the app for a better experience on the next gen consoles.

They're both OK as long as you sync'd your phone.

Google should bug both of them to allow Chromecast features (except, you know, no way in hell Microsoft would ever allow that.)

I think that's correct.. but you can't watch a movie on the PS4 without the patch... So you can play games offline without the patch, but no movie watching. Blu-ray or dvd.

From what I heard the first time you try to watch a movie you will need to download a patch to allow the license for BluRay usage to be released. Sony pays for BluRay on the backend essentially. I don't remember if DVD playback is possible.

Chromecast would be cool. But you are correct.

DVD playback is also part of the patch.

If only Xbox One had an internet browser that can connect to YouTube. Oh wait, I think it does.

That wasn't my point. It was more of a "Neither console has a YouTube app, nor do they support uploading content to YouTube, that's weird" kind of thing. It seemed like a no brainer that those would be big targets.

It better be a good app. Otherwise I'll stick with my Chromecast, which is hands down the best way for me to watch YouTube on my tv unless I want to watch a live YouTube feed. The Wii U app sucks, and I never owned an Xbox, so I'm not sure how good YouTube is for it. I assume an app for both next-gen systems will be available fairly shortly after launch, a couple of months at the most.

I like the PS3 app a little bit more than the Xbox 360 app, but yeah, the mobile apps are much better.

Yup, as soon as I started using Netflix I looked for and found that setting. I'm surprised this isn't more well known. I think it's disable notifications during video playback or something like that.

It all boils down to what the consoles can do besides gaming, and the X1 crushes the PS4 in that regard. Nobody just pops in a game and plays. Its all about online, party chatting, netflix, comparing friends profiles, downloading games/demos etc and the X1 seems to do all of that better, plus more. Just having Skype is huge for me, as I use that a ton to talk to family back home.

I never use apps on my 360, Wii U, or ps3. A typical game night:

1.Turn system on.
2.Load a game.
3.Play game.
4.Turn off game and system.

With the exception of GTA V i never play Online Muliplayer either.

I saw them in one store. I wasn't sure what was included, but if the website is correct, it seems like a good deal. Maybe.

I guess they just send you a $20 digital code. And you can use it for KI.

For a moment I thought it was KI, plus a $20 code, but I don't think that's possible.

Oh and the card is collectible. :D

It is a metal card.

Contains a card/paper slip that has the code for the 12 month sub and a code for KI Round One with Shadow Jago.

They e-mailed the $20 code pretty quickly and it is obviously good for anything from the Xbox Live Marketplace

I'm not entirely sure we need one yet, need to find a video I saw earlier today, but this seems to be a popular one:
