It's true. I spent the last week and a half at 21 trying to score something for light. Then out of nowhere last night I get light drops everywhere and go upto 24. I think there might be some value in putting this one down for a month or so while they figure everything out.

just a heads up..xur is selling the suros for 23 strange coins this weekend. I honestly think it is one of the best guns in the game upgraded. Full auto that slows down its fire rate when aimed, but increases the damage. Near hand cannon levels when you head shot....and once upgraded the bottom half of the clip increases in damage with each bullet and gives you life on hit from the shots....

My K/D in the crucible was twice as high with the suros as any other weapon.

I've got a question regarding unlocking the Legendary in the Vanguard Quartermaster. I finally hit Level 2 and now have access. By equipping Legendary items does your chance of picking up more Legendary increase? I've got enough to get two items and debating on what to get.

if you are short on strange coins, you can get up to 9 guaranteed by doing the weekly strike on the hardest difficulty...6 for one below that and 3 on the easiest. The worst part about the harder versions is sun damage from captains will one shot you...outside that they are not that bad at all if you exploit them a little (stay back, chip away)

I don't think your chance for getting legendary engrams goes up at all...I am not sure, but it seems that my chance for actually unlocking legendary or exotic items has gone up though as I have leveled up the guy who unlocks the engrams...I think he is about level 15-17...and now I get legendary items as much as I get rare items when I decrypt...

I have dumped dozens of hours into Destiny at this point - more than I'd care to imagine, really. I'm at level 24 (I think), have completed the story, have done all the Strikes, countless bounties, numerous Crucible matches, and I'm also no stranger to the Loot Cave (RIP).

And I have to say, I agree with pretty much every criticism thrown at this game. The quests are repetitive. The story is nonsensical. And the loot system is at best poorly designed, at worst just plain broken.

Even after all that, I CAN. NOT. STOP. PLAYING.

Despite all they've done wrong, they've got their hooks in me for better or worse.

Yeah this pretty much describes how I feel about it too.

I'm still digging it for now but I can't see myself sticking with it past October when Call of Duty and Dragon Age get here.

Yep, it works. It's a smaller area to stand on, but it worked fine with me and another guy shooing. Didn't seem like there were as many drops as before though. If anything, it's a good way to knock out some of the Queen's bounties.

It's a pain in the ass by yourself because the place where you stand is a spawn point too and if you leave it for even a second Acolytes pop up everywhere.

Yep, as soon as he left it wasn't even worth sticking around.

yep. couldn't do it solo. my go to auto rifle isn't powerful enough to take guys out that far.

I don't think they have nerfed the weapons yet.

Use a scout rifle. 100% easier and you waste much less ammo. I had no problem doing if solo, but it was boring as hell. There's a longer delay when the enemies spawn and it takes a longer time to "reset" after you make a collection run. As soon as you leave your perch, the enemies spawn all over the place. I probably won't be going back there.

It didn't work for me with a scout rifle either. You just don't have a good enough sight line. Someone always slipped through on me and once they are through they don't pop their head out again. Then you have to go kill them and while you are going that 10 more enemies spawn right behind you.

I just started running laps around the area. Everything spawns quick enough that you are pretty much killing things non-stop.
