Re: Bungie - Destiny

Got a question on the one bounty tking down "Three Fallen Walkers"...is there a certin trick to this because we've taken down the Wlker in The Divide severl times and so far we're stuck at 2 of 3. We took it down twice before and there for awhile we had 0 of 3.

Maybe it is whoever gets the kill shot? Which would suck...

That's dumb. For something that big you should just have to do a certain % of the damage.

Now i wonder why I see a couple around close to the Tank when it goes down. Last few times it hasn't lasted more than 90 seconds.

Are you talking about the random event? I don't think the random event counts for it.

I did it on the strike twice, and you can also go to the strike area outside the strike and the walker will be there. That counts as well. Of course it's far tougher than the random event version.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Is PSN down for anyone else? My internet's fine, but I can't seem to get into PSN on my PS4, therefore, no Destiny update and no Destiny. I swear to god, I've always been against the "always connected" thing, mostly because my internet goes out once or twice a month, but ever since Destiny, a game that requires it for single-player, it seems the either PSN or Bungie's servers are down almost weekly, if not more often. So fucking presumptuous of them to assume this sort of thing wouldn't be an issue.

I'm playing right now. Just got my ass kicked on the Weekly Heroic Strike again.

Well, according to this, it has been down for most of the commentors, but not for others. There was more red on that map earlier.

Looks like Chicago and St Louis are down. I'm in between the two.

And jesus Titans are incredibly overpowered in Crucible. They're like half a step slower than Hunters and in exchange they seemingly get something like 1000 times the hit points.

We got it tonight and yes it's the Public Event one at The Divide in Old Russia. We watched when the health got almost down to nothing and then got close.

I opened up (4) Legendary drops I had picked up and everyone of them turned to a Blue...I was pissed. A friend got on later and asked if we had done the Queens Wraith and we hadn't so he helped us thru and we got a good Legendary out of it. We did try the Weekly Heroic on Level 26 (We are 25) and he was 27 and we got our butts kicked. That's the part that really frustrates us....the Blue Weapons seem to max out just below what you really need in even some of the mid-level Strike Missions.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

I thought I would stop playing but ended up playing all day. We did the weekly nightfall strike because you are suppose to get at least a legendary item...well each of us got an exotic item. My son got a hand cannon, my friend got rocket launcher and I got exotic gloves. They were so much better than my exotic helmet I had to switch them out, which dropped my level from 28 to 26...but I got it back up to 27 again quick.

I can't wait until Tuesday so we can do the weekly nightfall again!!!

Re: Bungie - Destiny

oh and if you don't know, finishing the weekly nightfall puts a glow around your head for the rest of the week, and all xp gains from all types are increased by 25%. This includes vanguard rep, so if you do a mission that will give you 25 rep you get 31-32...

Great. I couldn't get online to play the game when he was around, and now that I can get online and play, he's not there. Thanks a fuck-ton, Bungie! Their shit is still far too broken to properly implement their ideas.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

So I was in the tower turning in some bounties and out of nowhere I got an invite from a random group of guys to do the raid. There was 6 of us and everyone (including myself) was level 27.

We made it to the the first "boss" but then a few of the guys had to leave so we quit out. It was obviously hard as hell, even with 6 level 27 players. I highly recommend watching the raid walkthrough by LevelCapGaming on YouTube. It's 2 parts that takes a total of 2 hours, but it'll save you a lot of "WTF are we supposed to be doing?" moments.

It's a highly informative video and they pause at all the major parts to let you know the plan. One of the guys in our party had watched it and was trying to explain to us what we were supposed to be doing, but it's much better if you watch it for yourself.

Edit: Just wanted to add that the short time we were in the raid was by far the most fun I've had playing Destiny. It's too bad that most people aren't high enough level to do it because it's freakin awesome.

It sounds awesome. Like there is actual game play involved besides just defending your ghost. Heaven forbid they put some of that into the rest of the game on a smaller scale.

maybe after trying and failing multiple times
I haven't watched a single video on the raid and don't want to
I want to experience it myself first before being shown exactly what I need to do

Re: Bungie - Destiny

I seem to have the absolute worst engram/drop luck in this game
I had lots of motes of light so I purchased an exotic engram from Xur last night and it decoded into a helmet with specs below my legendary and for the wrong guardian class

I do have all legendary armor for my lvl 26 Warlock but only because I had to purchase 2 pieces last night after reaching lvl 2 class rank

was six strange coins short of ever being able to purchase the Suros that I wanted since I use the AR

still have not a single exotic and I have poured countless hours into this game

I never watched a video beforehand either. One person had though, and he was trying to explain to everyone, but it was still confusing as hell. I watched the video after attempting the first boss, and it makes much more sense now. And even still, seeing and doing are two completely different things. It really does take all 6 people to know what's going on.

The first group of players to finish the raid took 10 hours and died thousands of times. They can obviously do it much quicker now, but if you go in clueles you'll definitely get that same experience. The video walkthrough I mentioned above is that same group. They've done it many times since then, and they know EXACTLY what's suppoed to happen... and they still die a lot in the video. The difficulty of the raid is on a whole different level than anything else in this game.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Yesterday I leveled up to 24 from 22. It was strange that I leveled up twice in 1 day, where it had taken me more than a week to just get up to level 20.

The game is still a lot of fun.

I don't think you are telling him anything he doesn't already know. He just wants to see it with his own eyes before seeing it in a Youtube video. I feel the same way. I'll watch the video at some point but I definitely want to try the raid first. I'm not expecting success on my first try.
