I've probably checked 100 people and I've yet to find anyone set to public.

Gotta move on up to legendaries. Even better if you can get one exotic.

Yeah, that was my point; entitled little pricks. Doesn't happen every time, and only once did they go inside the cave to stop the enemies from spawning.

As far as farming, I don't do it much, but I'm trying it out here for a bit most because it's pretty fun, and because I'm sure they're gonna patch that pretty soon.

Were they blue engrams? If they do change to a legendary, the class is randomized. I've had that happen twice, which is why I started a Warlock class. I have a Titan at 22, so rather than play though the missions again, I got to just under 19 with my Warlock by using the cave. 22 hours played with the Titan vs. 6.5 hours with the Warlock.

Xur's in the tower selling one piece of exotic armor per class for a few more hours, 13 Strange Coins each.

So I finally started using the Stranger's Gun and it's really neat but lacks speed even on auto.

did a bunch of cave farming and have four legendary engrams to have decoded (possibly more if the postmaster is holding anything)
chances are I get nothing my Warlock needs

I bought the exotic engram from Xur, had it decoded, and it turned out to be exotic chest armor... for a Hunter. Which is the one character I haven't started yet.

Looks like I'll be holding on to that for a while.

I got the same damn thing. And I'm a Warlock.

I have 2 legendary guns now, one from an engram and the other for reaching Vanguard Level 3. Both Shotguns. That goes along with my Exotic Shotgun.

I am getting close to maxing out my Warlock. I almost have the second subclass completely unlocked. May have to start my second and third characters soon.

The only slot I don't have a legendary item in, is my main weapon. Go figure. Everything else is all legendary or exotic.

And I only need 3 ascendant shards to max out my legendary sniper rifle. I found an awesome spot to farm iron relics, so those ascendant things are pretty much the only requirement holding me back from upgrading all my legendary gear. I haven't figured out a reliable way to acquire a bunch of those. They seem to be totally random rewards.

We've had this happen a couple of times and in every case it's been with some Level 25 or higher players...either one or in a group. Had one playing the Titan Defender and kept throwing out the "Dome" where we were standing....which is way back. They'll either move right in front, lob grenades, shoot rockets, melee, etc...These punk crybabies are just upset because they think they show up it's Their Cave and no-one else is entitled to to. I've stood away and watched most of these high level punks just annoy and pest low level players in hopes of driving them away. We saw one and had a Legendary in every slot...yet still farming. Are the Strike and Special Missions already boring or what?

How the fuck are these people so stupid that they have been playing this game long enough to get full legendaries yet not know that loot isn't shared? Bunch of fucktards.

I wouldn't call them boring, but they're not even remotely as rewarding as mindlessly farming Lvl 5 enemies that don't even require you even to move from one spot. Seems like a pretty major game flaw.

I mentioned it before, I've done Lvl 24 strikes and walked away with nothing. Why bother with those when this drops better loot with little to no effort?

Yeah, it's stupid as hell that you get the same xp and drops no matter what level you are killing. I guess Bungie can't handle properly implementing things as complicated as leveling and loot systems, .

You're not kidding. It's like they set out to shit on everything that makes Diablo's loot system great.

The game is basically broken because of this. Not sure if they can patch it, because that's how they designed the game.

When I read about the cave I thought it was dumb. Then I read that people spend hours there, and I thought they were crazy. Then I tried it myself. Yeah, it makes sense. Went from Level 18 to Level 21 in less than 2 hours.

But in one of those sessions all hell broke loose. A door opened from the left side, from where we were shooting the cave, and all kind of enemies started attacking us. It wasn't an event, those only occur at the 30 mark. But it was fun, trying to kill that many enemies. Since it was earth we didn't see any of the big ones though.

I still need one story mission to "finish" the game. I'll probably be done with the game in the next couple of weeks. Maybe wait for a great deal in a trade in.

That's a wave battle that happens on a regular basis. It usually occurs in place of the event in that area. I'm not sure of the exact wording, but when you see something come up over your super ability charge bar that says, "The enemy is moving against each other", get ready for the shit to hit the fan.

I think they know, but they're so entitled, they just don't want someone else standing there and shooting at the same things.

That's actually happened to me quite a bit, and it's what makes the area kinda fun and kept me going back. And even though those enemies are only around level 7, they're still over-powered and there's so many of them, that it actually becomes a challenge.

The way to "Fix" this then would be somethng like they have in Diablo...higher difficulty + higher ranked enemies = better rewards as you progress. When you reach Level 20 and open up the special missions then they should offer special rewards for those missions you cannot get anywhere else and better than others especially standing in front of a cave in a Level 10 and under area for hours.

If you take a higher level character in Diablo and go backwards you get crap not hardly even picking up. But if they allow players to go back fine but find a way to scale the enemies to their level if it's possible? It's a bit of a shame but you have to wonder just how many Level 20+ are actually real.

Now that I opened up Mars, it seems like more of a challenge since there's a mix of nasties there, like on Venus. Still having fun with the game, despite others' reviews or nitpicks, and that's what matters to me.

Farmed the cave for about 30 mins. Got some rare engrams but that is it.

That's good to hear because I just walked through the moon missions on hard like they were level 1 missions. I think I was killed once. All my other deaths have come from falling off cliffs.

And I've yet to play with anyone else. Does the game ramp up difficulty when you are playing with other people or is it even easier?

Went from having a single blue helmet, to every slot having blue gear after about an hour of farming "The Cave" this morning. What the hell is wrong with me?!
