I don't know about bungie's site, but if you do Google search for "destiny public event loop" or something similar, there's a post on reddit that lists times and locations for a bunch of the events on earth. I maxed out the weekly Vanguard points in 1 sitting just doing the public events. An event happens, at minimum, every 15 minutes but there are others that can randomly happen in certain locations also. You do a lot of running back and forth, but its pretty easy.

I love that you can check what the vendors are selling in the game with the mobile app. I had to sign on last night just to buy a gun I liked.

Did some farming at the cave today and got a bunch of blue items. Enough to get me to level 22.

Workaround for playing on a fireteam with someone who is not on your friendslist: Join a party (chat) within the PS4 menu. Make sure the party leader is in Destiny and has their fireteam setting set to public. Within the PS4 menu, go to chat, highlight their name, then select options to "join session" — crazy that this is not in the game itself.

love STRANGERS GUN, have it leveled up until the last attachment, just need 5 Helium thing'ys and its complete. Anyway I guess I thought everyone received 2 Guns when they completed it, but I guess i'm lucky because I also got the Sweet Ass "ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE WF47" machine gun (Legendary] which I love even more.

Man, there sure are some assholes out there playing this game.

So I'm at that cave farming for gear/levels, and the three other dudes show up to do the same (I'm at 17, they're all over 20). Fine, plenty to go around. Then they start "hitting" me, as if to say leave, or something, since they obviously can't hurt me. I ignore them, and continue shooting things coming out of the cave, and occasionally run over to it to pick things up and run back. When they realize I'm not going anywhere (because, fuck them, they don't own that spot), two of the assholes go inside the cave and sit their asses down to keep enemies from spawning. What a bunch of dicks, right?

This is the sort of multiplayer crap that sours me on everything that is multiplayer.

They were hitting you because you were standing too close. You need to stand way back past the concrete, just about in front of that open door. If you stand too close only the acolytes will spawn, and not the full set of thrawls and acolytes. Only run in to the cave when you are competly out of ammo or your going to leave the area. All of your drops will be there waiting for you.

No, I wasn't, I was standing right next to the other players and/or right behind them. Either way, I was far enough away for the full set of enemies to spawn until the other players went into the cave to spite me.

There are some people out there who don't yet understand that loot drops are player-specific and not shared.

I've had nothing but positive multiplayer experiences from this game so far. So much dancing.

One thing that aggravates me is the tools at level 25, 26, 27, who have obviously mastered their bullshit teleport slide and do that shit and kill me with one shot. Hey assholes, that's cheating. I wish there was a messaging system so I could tell them to fuck off. Try shooting something from a faraway distance. That's real skill, not your cheating teleport pussy trick.

Fuck that farming shit. I got better things to do, better games to play than stand in one place for 20 minutes looking for legendaries.

It's not cheating. You have to account for the special powers of the different classes when playing this game competitively. If you want a game where only gunplay is involved, there are a ridiculous number of titles that offer it.

Maybe they were just dicks then. I do a lot of spinmetal/chest farming there, and there are a lot of players that stand way to close and slow down the spawn rate. Just be thankfull they didnt drop a bubble shield over you
