Nobody said this. Ever. The discussion was about Brack (and only Brack) having some kind of "lag" and "slow response" on the PS4 version.

To my eye both look great and probably control great, and that seems to be the consensus among rational people internet-wide. The PS4 version is a slightly safer bet to look slightly better and has some extra (probably cosmetic) content for a year. Both will be solid 1080p/30fps AFAIK. So it's hardly even worth discussing IMO.

It even looks pretty decent on last gen.

I'd rather have the $400 and the version everybody but you considers definitive. Keep fighting the good fight.

Sorry if it came off that the PS4 had lag, I thought someone on here spoke about lag on the Xbox One (perhaps not). I never said the PS4 had slow response either, just a bit faster. I'm able to sprint with ease on the Xbox One, whereas the PS4 doesn't respond well to sprinting at times (for me anyway).

Agreed. I wasn't making the case that the Xbox One game was superior at all. Far from it.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Looks like they will both run 1080p in the final version (although the One is only running 900p in the beta while the PS4 is 1080p). Only difference for the final version will be the HUD. "From analysis of gameplay clips of the Xbox One version, the HUD is 2D and static. On the PS4, the HUD is rendered in 3D with a few extra flourishes." So they should both look and run fantastic.

I'm loving the pistols in the campaign. Very powerful and deadly with a headshot. Didn't have much luck with it in MP though.

Do we have to play PvE, PvP, or does it not matter?

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Is there a reason that these games don't allow auto-run? It's such a great feature from Titanfall, and I feel like constantly clicking in the button to run puts a lot of unnecessary wear on the controller. Running should be a toggle or auto. I hate hate hate hate hate having to hold in the joystick.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

We only get to play one Moon mission as the next one requires Level 9.

I will say the one Moon mission was more interesting than what has been made playable up to this point.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

yeah the Moon mission was much more intense ... then again it could be that it just seemed fresh as compared to the same levels that have been available

liked having the Pike to take over

ran out of time during an optional event, would have been ok if I wasn't alone

Re: Bungie - Destiny

So any idea how to get this banner thing? I have been playing for 45min, did most of the Moon shit. Ran around this stupid ass tower. No idea what to do. This game has the worst fucking interface and menu system I have ever seen. And no overhead maps.. wtf? Why do people say this game is good? Just boring ass gunplay on boring ass terrain versus the same 2-3 boring ass enemies....woot!

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Crucible seems broke since the new mission went up
Iron Banner is open but it stays stuck on Searching For Guardians
Dead Sectors times out and gives an error message

Re: Bungie - Destiny

I literally have no idea what anything in this game is/does. There is basically no tutorial or explanation for anything. Apparently all I can do is play some Russia missions, or the 1 Moon mission by myself. Sigh....pretty sure I'll be cancelling my pre-order...thankfully 343 has some Halo now. This game is not even good, let alone great.

If you really can't figure out what anything does, then you must not have played any action/shooter games in the past 10 years.

Pretty sure I have played all of them.

This game has so many glaring issues that easily could have been implemented to make it much more enjoyable, and on par with most other games. As it stands, it is extremely underwhelming gameplay mechanics wrapped in a convoluted story/world that the user is apparently expected to know before playing.

I expected it to be a fun shooter with enemies that drop loot like Borderlands. Instead, I walk from point A to point B, drop my stupid halo/portal orb off, kill a wave of enemies, fly back to the tower. Repeat. The "missions" are not fun, no loot drops, there are no containers to open and items to find.

The game requires you to constantly hold down a button to initiate an action, which is terrible.
There is no functioning map aside from a minimap.
The objective marker does not remain onscreen, so you must keep pulling out your orb thing to see where to go.
The tower is a mess of people and places that are not explained. wtf is a bounty? wtf is an iron banner? etc etc. Who are the quartermasters, what are all these items in the shops?

I'm just very disappointed in the game. I knew the PvP aspect of it was horrible from E3 but I had hoped that at least single player/co-op would be fun.

Easy there. Halo 4 had a great single-player campaign, but Spartan Ops and the multiplayer suffered from constant network issues that weren't resolved until months after people cared about the game. In addition, the multiplayer was a gigantic step back from past games as it was more Call of Duty in nature than Halo. The Master Chief Collection will determine if they can properly respect the franchise. What we've seen so far has been nothing short of excellence, but I want to see how it plays once its in our hands.

I agree with you in all of these aspects. Some of these things can be fixed before launch, others might be fixed in patches post-release. Either way, the game is not as good as prior open-world first-person game that I've played. The Elder Scrolls franchise, Borderlands and its sequel, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, etc.
