Re: Bungie - Destiny
Ok played the xbox one version.
Graphics are good, especially considering it will be 1080p when it comes out. I noticed lower resolution but outside that they were the same. That being said, the xbox one version seemed to run smoother. I can't explain it, because the ps4 version runs at a smooth 30fps, as does the xbox one version, but the ps4 version seems to have a slight studder that is missing from the xbox one version.
As for the controls, something is Absolutely wrong with the xbox one version. It am not sure how to explain it because I times it feels like MASSIVE controller lag, and at others it just feels to loose. When ever you do an action there is a delay, but as you continue that action you will overshoot your target. So when I aim it seems to be a delay, and when I finally start to aim it overshoots the target. I can't seem to get the settings right. This is the ONLY xbox one game I have played that has done this. Whoever noticed this above, you are not crazy.

Did you update your Xbox One controller?

Re: Bungie - Destiny
Woo hoo! Thanks for letting us all know. I just fired up the download for my 360. At 5.6 gig I'll just have to let it download tonight and play tomorrow. I have it preordered from Gamestop (which I was supposed to get a code for the alpha but for some strange reason they told me they were all out). I only reserved it for 5 bucks so depending on this beta experience and the large number of so-so comments I may have to move that money to something else.

EDIT: I am glad that I am also not the only person that thinks the competitive multiplayer is a bag of shit. Or that the game is fucking boring. My friends and I went back on the beta tonight and not a single person was feeling it.
I am glad that Bungie made the game look great and it feels polished as a beta, but I like to be entertained and engaged while playing a video game.
I'll be switching my pre-order to the regular edition.

Yup, I remember an update specific to the release of Titanfall. Have there been other controller updates? Does the system prompt you?

It does not prompt you, but yeah that fixed the lag. The controls still feel looser than the ps4, but I am sure I can fix that when I have more time. The input lag is all but gone now I have updated the controller (unless there was actual lag last night because it is in beta, and now that is gone)

I like reading everyone's opinions here. I kind of knew that FPS players, COD specially, wouldn't be fans of this game. In that sense COD will stay king for a long time. I mean, if someone was hoping Destiny would replace it.
As I mentioned before, for me it's my perfect mix of Halo and Borderlands, so I liked it in the PS3 and absolutely loved it in the X1.

Yeah because dog forbid the firmware update via wireless, and the system prompt you to do this even if not a mandatory update, given the advanced state of technology.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
What the hell happened to this thread?
I'm still loving the beta on PS4 and have discovered that the scout class rifles are where it's at, at least in PVE. I've never been a fan of single shot rifles, but they are pretty much critical hit machines in Destiny, and you can't beat the ammo efficiency. The one I'm using right now actually adds ammo to the magazine when you get kills, so if you're popping off headshots, you're not reloading much.
