Dammit, I'm trying to finish the House of Wolves story and I can't for life of me make this jump in The Terminus cross the chasm part. My warlock can jump to the first three disappearing platforms but when I land on the flat platform can't make the jump on last one because there is no raise platform for me to make that jump. I can see Hunters won't have that problem because they can jump higher. Maybe I should give up playing the warlock and play the hunter.

I had a hard time jumping with my Warlock, on that part in particular. Did you try switching your subclass or the jump attributes for it? I think you have to hit jump twice quickly if I recall correctly.

It's so much easier for me now with my Titan.

so, Destiny needs an internet connection to stay live. i lost my connection right in the middle of a boss battle. am i screwed and have to go back to the beginning of level when i go back on? does this happen in the paid version as well?

Destiny is an on-line only game...

Happens to me on an average of once ever week. Sometimes it's their servers, sometimes it's my ISP, but more often than not it's PSN.

If it happens that often its more likely your settings for your router.

Port forwarding is your friend

When I get booted it is Destiny servers.My internet connection and my PSN connection remain rock solid. Only times I have had issues is during the DDOS attacks. It is not the hot mess that PS3 brought to the table.

But everything else connected to my router's fine. I actually meant to say once every other week. And it's usually just PSN.

do online players pop up in the paid version of the game too? i'm still playing the trial and random people pop up and kill baddies (they can't kill me and vice versa). i want to kill all my baddies in my single player missions. does this happen in the pay version as well?

FYI... there is no kill-stealing in this game. You will get experience and loot as long as you are in the vicinity of others who are killing mobs. The only thing to be mindful of though is I think you need to land at least one shot on the mob for 'kill the target' type missions in order to still get the credit for the kill.

Not really, it's an online game. Basically an MMO, so there's going to be other guys running around the universe like you.

I finally got past this part and finish the story. I use the Focused Burst and just have to double tap x quickly to get my jump higher. My timing kind of suck, cause I died about 40 times to just get it right. Just glad I got over this jumping problem.

The game has two area types.

1) The overworld type. If you're outside, most of the time you'll run into other guardians. This is for things like public events, and meant to make the game feel more alive.

2) The inside world. If you head into a building, anybody not in your fireteam will disappear. Most missions have a small overworld area, then a much bigger inside world. Anytime you see Respawning Restricted, it means you're on your own.

This is not a "single player" game and it is online only... how is it possible to not know this?

I was thinking about picking up Pacman. Can someone tell me why some dots are bigger than others? Why are ghosts chasing a block of cheese with a slice missing through a maze? Also, can I use Google maps to navigate the maze and avoid heavy ghost traffic areas?
