No exotic this week? Now I have to wait another week before I can buy that No Land Beyond

LOL, the Internets is going to crash today.

But a lot of changes especially to PvP. Will wait for the smarter folks here to tell me how screwed I am now. Though they finally addressed long range hand cannons. Sorry Sooner on that new Thorn.

Posting more as I read through it:
-Icebreaker nerf was uncalled for, though an extra 3 secs on recharge time may not be a big deal
-Hand cannon nerf was needed in PvP. That graph shows it all on the popularity of Thorn.
-Black Hammer white nail perk: if it pulls ammo from your inventory, what good is the perk then? No more free ammo clips?

These are the two that I was going to post about. Why nerf weapons that are used predominatly in PvE?

Also, can I get back all of my motes, parts and glimmer for getting a shotgun roll which will now not be nearly as good?

As for the Ghorn nerf, eat a bag of dicks Bungie! Again, it's primarily a PvE weapon, so why nerf it?

Bungie:"Hey fuckface, like using those weapons you spent countless hours acquiring to make nightfalls, PoE, etc. less tedious? Well go fuck yourself!"

Destiny 2.0 Weapon Tuning Nerfs Gjallarhorn, Hawkmoon, Ice Breaker and More

PitcherDestiny will soon receive a major rebalance across all weapon types with an upcoming weapon tuning update, affecting some of the best loved weapons in the sci-fi shooter.

The Gjallarhorn, easily the most popular heavy weapon in PVE, is being nerfed in the hope of ending exclusion of players in Raid groups who do not have the powerful rocket launcher.

Other beloved exotic weapons getting tuning include Hard Light, Necrochasm, The Last Word, Thorn, Hawkmoon, No Land Beyond, Lord of Wolves and Black Hammer. Ice Breaker. For Ice Breaker, the sniper recharge time is being increased from 5 seconds to 8 seconds for every round. Surprised you're posting about a game that you basically haven't touched in months. None of these changes have any effect on you, so why bother?

Have you heard about our new $40 DLC? Awesome new guns in our $40 DLC. You really should buy our new $40 DLC.

Because I foresaw this type of crap and didn't trust or fall for Bungie's sales pitch, promises and their constantly meddling in a otherwise great and promising game.....and does anyone with half-a-brain think this is the end of it and won't happen down the road.....like with The Taken King.

What excuses? Anyone that has spent any amount of time with PVP in Bungie knows that the weapons were a mess and needed to be fixed.

Yeah, the Ice Breaker, GHorn and Black Hammer nerfs aren't really needed (and in some cases like Black Hammer, actually make no sense), but overall, the changes being made make sense on paper.

They're fixing auto rifles. They're nerfing hand cannons. They're making Hard Light and Necrochasm usable. I'd rather bash them if all this comes out and PVP is still unbalanced crap.

I will say that nerfing the Gjallarhorn to make players without one feel more included in the game is just a silly excuse. People will just find another reason to exclude people, because that's what they do. If it's not the GHorn, it'll be not being a 34. Or not having a high enough k/d ratio. Even having a squeaky voice can get you kicked from groups.

So that's the reason I am excluded from all the groups?

I blame the helium rich Canadian air.

Besides a Vex Mythoclast, The thing I wanted most from Bungie was PVP weapon rebalancing. An end to the era of exotic hand cannons is needed. I'm dying to see matches with more Scout Rifles and Auto rifles and less supersniperhandcannons.

I also hope that when Taken King arrives we get new interesting and more powerful weapons that make us put down the Fatebringer/Black Hammer/G-horn combo. Time to cut the vanilla Destiny umbilical cords and start growing and playing with new toys.

I'd love to see Bungie go nuts with completely new weapon types. If there were a few usable-but-crazy Ratchet and Clank-style weapons you could get through quests or something, I'd buy in on day one for sure.

I think it's pretty clear now that the Gjallarhorn was on the list and got removed. And that's a pretty damn low blow by Bungie this week.

the funny part is they probably wouldn't have removed it if not just speaking about nerfing it the day before

Also, the armor this week is the Chest piece and the weapon is the sniper rifle. I look forward to getting neither.

so i dl'd the trial version for the One and it was shooting the bad guys and find my ship to go home. i liked the simplicity. is the rest of the game more of the same, in the vein of Halo, and such?
