Weekly update is out. It's mostly focused on one thing: Skolas.

Next week, the Skolas battle will be changing. They're getting rid of the burn modifiers, and cutting his health down to compensate for it. They're also changing the timing of the enemies, making them more predictable with his health levels. There will be modifiers, but no longer the burns.

So basically, they saw that everyone was either killing him in 30 seconds, or getting killed by him or his minions in 30 seconds. So this is the last week of the 30 second Gjallarhorn kill...unless they really cut his health, then it'll be every week!

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Have no fear, the Xur Report is here!

Today's report is a little behind schedule, as I got detained in the Prison Of Elders Level 35 and had to finish off Skolas before making my way to the Tower. And much like you hear on Winter's Run, I was better off in the Prison Of Elders.

Xur is located in the Hangar, way down in the bar area. But before you make the long journey there, just know, his selection is pretty crappy this week. Anyway, on with the "deals."

For the Titan, it's the Mk. 44 Stand Asides Boots, with a crappy roll. If you like the shoulder charge, these boots will be good for you. Otherwise, they're a waste of coins.

For the Hunter, it's the Mask Of The Third Man Helmet, with a crap roll. Great helmet for bladedancers, but the low roll makes it disappointing. Mewmartigan, I would suggest you grab it, as anything is better than having to use the Arachnid

For the Warlock, it's the Light Beyond Nemesis Helmet. OK, but not great roll here. It's a decent helmet for Osiris and Prison Of Elders as it lets you revive teammates faster and generate extra orbs.

The engram this week is for chest armor...again. Second week in a row there. So no engram lottery this week.

The Weapon this week is the Universal Remote Shotgun. Want a shotgun that occupies both an exotic slot and your primary weapon? Here you go. For the rest of us, it's not all that useful.

So there we go. Not much of use here this week. Nothing new, nothing really outstanding, just the same old Xur.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

picked up the Third Man helmet. I guess I have a thing for helmets with multiple eye sockets.

I also took a chance on the chest engram and got the Lucky Raspberry. At least its for a hunter this time.

It lets me carry extra heavy. I already have boots from Variks that let me carry extra heavy. So If I have them both equipped will that double the effect or do you only get a boost from one piece?

I'm currently armed with a piece of fruit, but I'm hoping to get the pointed stick.

Extra Heavy Ammo doesn't stack.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Having fun with my lvl 23 Warlock. Right now I trying to get my Vanguard rank up by doing some strike and patrol missions so I can get some good gear. Went to the tower yesterday and saw about ten players doing some mob flash dance in the center, thought it's was funny how they were doing that for a minute.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Man, it sucks being a loner in this game the missions on mars are tough - I always fight from a distance - my heavy weapon is so damn powerful it takes groups of aliens out in seconds.

Think I'm gonna level up to at least a 20 with my titan before I do anymore mars missions. I want to be able to stroll through and enjoy them without having to constantly run for cover.

For $40, I'm gonna need more than a trailer. What's the actual content?

Re: Bungie - Destiny

I'm just really getting into the game now finally. Just unlocked my first two legendary weapons. I think the expansion will come at a nice time for me. I'm a level 25 Warlock right now.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

I would rather trade in my copy or sell it off and buy that for 48 plus tax than pay 40 for the DLC alone.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Well the problem is Destiny is only $20 on Amazon and has been for quite some time now. I bet $20 is the MSRP soon, which will drive a lot of new people to this version so they get all of the expansions. It's still a kick in the nuts for everyone that dropped $100 on the LE with the full game and first expansion (or a double kick in the nuts to this sucker that bought the Ghost edition). Now it's either pay another $40 to get the digital content or get the new retail disc for $60. But this is Activision, so prepare for another 9 years of this model.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

I don't know. It's for sure Bungie put this out in from early Fall with all the hoopla at E3 and the coming onslaught of games later this year. It'll boil down to paying out $40 and continue to ride the roller coater of highs and lows or jump at what's coming later which is a lot....

Gears of War Ultimate - August 25
Mad Max - Sept 1
Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain - Sept 1
Uncharted Collection - October 9
Rainbow Six: Siege - October 13
Halo 5 - October 27
Fallout 4 - November 10
Rise of Tomb Raider - November 10
COD Black Ops 3 - November 6
Star Wars battlefront - November 18

Re: Bungie - Destiny

So Warlock gets Sith lightning, Titan gets a flaming hammer, and Hunter still sucks. And everybody will still use bubble bros and sun bros. Got it.

As someone that never bought the expansions so stopped playing, hell I might get the updated version just to mess around some more. Helps I actually get a discount on retail versions and not digital from Activision.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Now, if they sell this shit and then put out even another big DLC and copy of the game then this will grow tiresome really quickly. Work on the next game and build a better universe with an actual story and reason to play other than simply trying to level up and upgrade equipment. Then I might become interested again. At this point, I feel like I got a bit of the shaft buying that CE when it first came out for 80 bucks.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Yeah, I would think they'd hold off on a collectors edition package like this until the final DLC, then have one huge all-in-one package. But I guess they figure they can make more money this way - not that I'll be buying it...

Re: Bungie - Destiny

For the extra $20 you would think they would at least throw in a gjallarhorn
