Trials Of Osiris has returned to Mercury this week. The Burning Shrine is the battleground.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

OK, so here we go with the reset report!

Iron Banner is closed, so no going to the back of the tower.

The Nightfall this week is The Shadow Thief (aka the new strike) on the moon.

Epic
Nightfall
Arc Burn
Specialist (Special weapons are preferred)
Lightswitch

The Weekly this week is The Devil's Lair with Solar Burn.

Variks is selling boots this week with the Cabal perk.

Warlock - Strength (again)
Titan - Discipline
Hunter - Intellect & Discipline

Variks is also selling the Rocket Launcher, with one of the most hilarious perks you could imagine on a rocket: Shank burn.

So there you go. The Nightfall is comically easy again. Just use a good arc sniper (P&T, LDR, Spear, etc.) and you're good to go.

Sounds like an arc Fusion Rifle will wreck things also.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Only the thing that worries me about that Nightfall is Lightswitch. Those stealth vandals are assholes to begin with in that strike.

The perks on these PoE weapons are troll worthy.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Bored again.

I ran two 34s last week and no 35s and am sitting in 12 or 13 etheric lights. Doubt I run anything this week other than maybe the nightfalls, and I'll look at the Titan boots from Variks.

Saw the list of content for the $40 expansion, and it sounds an awful lot like the $20 Dark Below in terms of how much content it adds. And it doesn't help that all of the best weapons and the best looking armor are STILL all from the original game. I hardly ever find a reason to use anything but the Gally, VoG weapons and the occasional Black Hammer or Hunger of Crota.

Not impressed, and not spending $80-100 per year on this hamster wheel.

Looking forward to Fallout and Batman after my move to San Antonio (Spurs bandwagon yo!) at the end of the month.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Everything I've seen says it's bigger than the last two DLC packages combined. Also, the raid is supposedly longer than VOG and more complex as well.

Bungie Day is upon us. Wonder if we will get any goodies other than the emblem?

According to Bungie:
  • New story missions and side missions
  • New Exotic weapons, Exotic armor and Exotic Questlines
  • New narrative with lots of cinematic cutscenes and a new cast of characters.
  • New destination called the Dreadnaught
  • New breed of enemies armed with new weapons and abilities
  • Biggest six-player Raid yet
  • New Crucible multiplayer maps with new Crucible modes
  • New cooperative Strikes
  • New subclasses

Other than the subclasses (and maybe the raid size), it sounds exactly like Dark Below to me.

If you're selling DLC for twice as much as your prior DLC, of course you're going to say it's twice as much content. I just don't see it.

The controller pictured next to the box would take some getting used to.

Typical Bungie. Happy Bungie Day, we have an emblem for you, but you have to grind for it.

I need to grab a few gold chests and defeat Skolas. All the other requirements are already met.

Deej and the guys that unveiled PoE on twitch would probably run out of time.

OK, did the dark below have a new location to do patrols? No. The Dreadnaught is basically a new planet to explore.

Dark Below had 2 new strikes. Taken King is expected to have 5 or 6.

Dark Below took the level max up from 30 to 32. Taken King is going from 34 to 50. You might see that as a negative.

And there are expected to be 11-12 story missions versus the 3 or 4 in Dark Below.

So if you add the story missions from Dark Below/HOW and add their strikes, Taken King is supposed to have more of both. Taken King has more than the two DLCs combined.

And that's not getting into the new PVP maps and modes.

To no one's surprise, I'm already done

Sucks that I don't get it til September.

Oh, and if anyone wants a good laugh, check out the Gjallarhorn in the armory:

https://www.bungie.net/en/Armory/Det...me=Gjallarhorn

Check out the ways it can be obtained, specifically the one at the bottom...

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Surely you jest. It's the best weapon in the game. Period. Make sure you pray to RNGesus. Some people have gone months and months before they got one. Others are still waiting.
