can I ask, why?

why not? I like my raid/IB armor and would like to wear it and not be underpowered. I've ascended at least one piece of Crota armor per character (usually helmets - Fuck that ridiculous Titan PoE helmet) and I get bored with the same gear.

I especially like the Titan armors - and yes I am sure we will have new armor dropping but I tend to delete the non raid gear anyways.

I could use an etheric light if I can get a certain gun to drop prior to next weeks IB. I think most of my playtime this week will be grinding Dargon Strikes.
