I might do this since I have been dropped two of the old version and really haven't put any resources into either
upgrade 1, shard the other

might do the same for the Monte Carlo which I also have 2 of just to get rid of 1 .... depends if I want to waste time farming glimmer to make up for what I will have to put into it

I've also been using the MIDA a lot lately. It's pretty solid for getting headshots for bounties.

The MIDA multi tool is a great gun. I need to finish upgrading mine, and get it to 331.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

I was thinking that they should start offering exotic weapon engrams from xur for motes or coins. It would give people a chance to get the weapons they want. It could be like the armor ones, rotating between primary, secondary, and heavy each week on xur. They could even be more expensive than the armor ones. It would give people something to buy if they want a chance at exotic weapons other than the one that xur just happens to be selling that week.

17 weeks and 3 days. That's how long it took for me to finally see one drop. Praise RNGesus. Thanks again for one last (very fortunate) round of cheesing, Scott.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

So after level 20, is there anything interesting to do for the end game besides grind PvP or Strikes over and over again to get your light level higher? Sounds like there's a few more fun things that open up later on, but I'm already bored doing the strike playlists just to get gear at level 22. Kind of the same point I reached early on in Diablo 3 too, where I just don't care for loot/level grinding in online games.

Oh well, I enjoyed the game play immensely up until now and worth the money I paid for it. If only the world and story was bigger and had more content by default, as the story was much smaller then I expected it to be. Plus $35 for the expansions and however much more for the other content coming seems like too much for me to keep playing.

Search for Chess + Warframe.......

Seriously though all the better stuff starts at Level 26 and above when you can do the Nightfall's, Weekly and Raids. But to get there you just need to continue with Strikes and even better the Bounties for Vanguard Marks and XP. Even when you're doing a bounty for say "get 100 Precision Kills", pick up some of the side mission like Kill Everything or Kill Specific. All those add up..

...but then again do try Warframe if you are bored; probably more depth than Destiny and FWIW I have Diablo and had a good time with it and still go back here & there.

Zero interest in Warframe and more grinding or repetition. And if I were, I'd have played it on PC years ago

I get the sentiment about grinding and repetition and don't blame you.

But to be fair, the gameplay in Warframe is far far far more varied than Destiny, and the content you're grinding for is quite a bit more varied too. It's also a different game than it was "years ago". You'd barely recognize it other than the most core gameplay.

Long live the cheese:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/JwHdKgnqpL4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Just tested it with my Warlock, and it works. Lose your weight of darkness, used focused burst jump, and boom, no lamp explosion needed.

So, then, there is hope for cheese still upon my return home, as long as they are not aware of this technique, along with the lamp explosion. Yes!

Re: Bungie - Destiny

This is why we need a bigger vault in Destiny:

I can't even fit all my Exotics in there to take a picture!

Not shown here is my Dragon's Breath, or any of my duplicates. Also missing is the 4th Horseman Shotgun from the DLC, as I haven't been blessed yet. And of course, it's also missing the Gjallarhorn.

Anyhoo, that's what an exotic vault looks like.

Reviews?

The few reviews out there are for an MMO (sort of) that was in beta. It's now on its 15th major update, and it's putting every retail game I've played lately to absolute shame, particularly Destiny because the two are so similar, but Warframe is far more expansive and more interesting. I'd say a fair meta at this point would be in the mid to high 8s, but it's not the kind of game that gets re-reviewed.

I expect Destiny to be quite a bit better two years from now as well, but I also expect that people (not me) will have spent literally hundreds of dollars on it by then.

I broke down most of my exotics. Kept maybe 5-7.

Curious to see what *may* be replacements for your current TDB gear? Info graphic found on Reddit and was compiled from the various database sites.

Sweet! So we'll all look exactly the same. Again. For $20.

Guns look a little better. Might actually replace VoG guns.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Glad to see more choices....now just find a way to pay & upgrade it. I'm still trying to find materials, glimmer and shards/energy for all the stuff I already have including Crota Raid items. For every 100 glimmer I spend I'm getting 30-50 back. I'm also running out for the first time armor engrams to break down. When you see what it takes just for one upgrade slot like...

750-950 glimmer
16 - Material/Armor pcs
7 - Energy/Shards....

Second problem especially with Armor is the once highly sought after Ascendant Shards are becoming far less relevant and needed except for those starting out. And then when you get Legendary gear you don't want, need or have a use for you break it down for Energy & Shards you don't need that much of anymore. And for those with Raid Gear you need close to (21) Radiant Shards to completely level up just one piece plus a nice chunk of Glimmer which can be found in only one place that you can visit only once a week.

In the meantime they haven't expanded your personal vault or the amount of Glimmer you can keep providing you can constantly get enough. You no longer can sell off anything you have extra or don't need...I've got over 800+ Spinmetal that's taking up slots thanks to that stupid 200 max. But you need to open up chests in hopes of getting some cheesy Green/Blue Engrams to break down for upgrading items.

The "Commerce" part of the game is off, a bottle neck, too much of, to little of, easy to get, to rare to get, restricted to much, limited, not enough storage for some and to much storage for something else useless with no actual trade and/or sell options. We're going to widen the top of the funnel but keep the bottom the same....

Re: Bungie - Destiny

They definitely need to bring back the ability to sell off your materials and add a way to sell off more items like shards/energy/motes/strange coin etc...

The XBox reviews from critics and users are from a beta? News to me. And I come from a PC gaming background, i'm fully aware how online games change with content but i'm also aware how you get the one off games that develop hardcore fans that rave about it. Plus, I don't trust your opinion and ratings given you spend this entire thread talking about how stupid this game is while continuing the play it. You keep fighting the good fight, but I seriously don't give a shit about Warframe.

I seriously don't give a shit whether you trust my opinion or have any interest in Warframe.

As usual, sorry to have attempted dialogue with you, and I didn't bring it up anyway.

The most poignant and/or most efficient thing I've ever heard you say.

If a guy like Scott can't find a place to store his stuff that he got by loyally playing your game, and most of that stuff is irrelevant anyway...man, I just don't know what you're thinking.

Yes, nothing like saying I have zero interest in it twice and still have you replying and defending the game. I accept your apology for not reading more carefully to begin with, that's a good first step
