OK, I'll admit it. The SUROS is awesome.

I have a fully upgraded Atheons Epilogue, and it feels like this is already way better without any upgrades. It definitely handles better than any auto rifle I've used. The only downfall is that its exotic and it makes switching to Ice Breaker a pain. Also, it doesn't seem to have much ammo. But it fires so much slower that it hasn't been an issue... yet. Seems like every round hits the target.

The SUROS is easily the most accurate auto rifle in the game. The slow rate while aiming almost makes you feel like you're in a Max Payne type bullet time, where you get that extra instant to keep the gun under control. Plus, the bottom half bonus damage is the best of any other gun.

I do agree that it's a pain when you want to use the Ice Breaker too, but really, the Suros is so accurate that you don't usually feel like you need it. A legendary Fusion is a good match.

I did get my Epilogue fully upgraded, and such a beast once you get that stability upgrade.

And I finally got that third win!

I don't get this at all either. Like you said, you can just bring up the menu and swap weapons mid-strike, so why don't they just let you equip them at the same time?

I am up to 13 strange coins so might be able to get my first thing from the weekend guy.

I am playing a level 24 Hunter at the moment. I have legendary arms which are decent. A legendary shotgun which is good but not super useful unfortunately.

And last night I got Bad Seed Down. Up to this point I have been a scout rifle guy so trying the pulse rifle has been pretty different. Is this a gun that is worth investing some supplies in to upgrade?

of course the Suros is being offered by Xur this week since I got if from the Nightfall on Tuesday

I'll have to consider the Voidfang armor for Crucible and my Voidwalker as I already have the Sunbreakers and prefere that for PvE and Sunsinger

lets RAID tonight .... who's in? maybe 8:00 CT start or so?

I'm in for sure. Shame we couldn't do it last night. I checked the list and saw several here just doing bounties, missions and strikes. I'm on around 5:30-6 Central but would like to get in the daily for both characters. I might be running with a friend who is getting his second character up so to have another in play with his primary one.

What special perks does that gun have? My Bad Seed Down has active radar while aiming and reload is speeded up by getting kills. Sometimes, these perks can make or break a gun.

And I'm up for a Raid tonight too. Me and my fully upgraded Epilogue and Ice Breaker.

It has the thing where the bottom half of each clip does extra damage. After that I think it has like rounds that reflect off surfaces and such.

Will play around with it... I just need a legendary scout rifle more. :lol:

Paid Xur a visit but he wants 23 for the gun and I only have 12. I bought the exotic crypto thinking I'd get some fancy gauntlets from y hunter but ended up getting Sunbearers for a Warlock. Fuck.

As far as my Hunter goes here's where I'm at:

Level 26

Vanquisher VIII Autorifle at level 257 (primary legendary)
The Stranger's Rifle Pulse Rifle at Level 209 (primary rare)

Special Weapons are:

Purifier VII Fusion Rifle (legendary) 248
Silvered Caracas-LR4 (rare) 242

Heavy Weapons:

Steel Oracle Z-11 at 257 (legendary)
Unfriendly Giant at 257 (legendary)

I've got Exotic Helmet
Legendary guantlets, armor, leg armor, and cloak

I just circle around The Steppes where you spawn for patrol and Mothyards .... there is plenty of spinmetal that will circulate around there and will likely get daily events pop up as well

Try the Divide, there are probably 12+ chest spawning locations there and spinmetal shows up all over. Added bonus of having a public event every 30 mins. You can also do the infinite chest trick here too, although I have found it isn't infinite, max I could get it was 10 chests.

I've had Legendary Chests and Primary weapons drop far more often than Legs or arms. I had plenty of strange coin drop in PvP and when turning in Engrams and leveling up cryptarch. Buy an exotic chest or helmet once you save up enough Strange coin. - All this made my rise from level 22 to 27 pretty quick.

I like farming skywatch, good mix of enemys, lots of places for chest to spawn.
