Skolas has 3 modifier groupings:

Small Arms & Lightswitch
Catapult & Angry
Brawler & Juggler

Of the 3, Brawler/Juggler is the easiest, with lightswitch/small arms being the hardest.

This week is smack dab in the middle. The enemies are more aggressive, but won't kill you in one hit.

I need to try Skolas. Xur needs to sell the gjallarhorn before the nerf so everyone gets a chance to easily kill bosses with rocket spam!

Is Destiny much fun as a solo game? I'm considering checking it out, but have no interest in grouping up for raids and stuff.

Not really. The game is built around grouping up. You can play the whole game in a group. You can't do that alone. Honestly, if you're not interested in the social aspects of it, there's not a lot there. And in many cases, even if you wanted to do something alone, you're not allowed.

Strikes, for instance. If you go to play a strike, you will be matchmade with 2 other random people. You don't have a choice in the matter. You go on patrols, and you'll find other players.

The saving grace of this game is the people you play it with. I know I'd have quit long ago if not for the Daggers. They help keep the the game fresh for me, even though I've done pretty much everything possible in the game.

You don't have to do raids, but you won't get far in building your character if you don't participate in some sort of co-op along the way. The game's more about teamwork and character-build than it is about story, environments, etc.

Bungie will be pushing a patch today. It's the small patch that adds the Nepal shader and emblem, along with fixing the Husk Of The Pit drop rate.

So keep that in mind. And those who need a husk, get ready to fist Crota. I mean run Fist Of Crota...

Special Ammo initial spawn time and respawn intervals have been changed to 180 seconds
Max of three Special Ammo crates will now be placed at one time *Heavy Ammo crates now spawn only once per match at 300 seconds

Tower

Tess Everis is temporarily leaving the Tower
A Kiosk terminal can be found near Eva Levante in North Tower that contains Tess' old inventory of special order items
The Nepal Aid shader and emblem have been added to the game
Redemption codes will soon be sent to the email used to place orders in the Bungie Store
These items will be found at the kiosk mentioned above

Technical

Fixed a potential crash when closing the vendor screen
Fixed a very rare case where an account could blocked by a WEASEL error on sign on
Fixed issues with suspend/resume handling on Xbox One

The ghost shell perks seem pretty cool. I also like the Three Coins purchasable from Xur which increases the odds of getting an exotic.

Did anyone else get 9 more coins yesterday in the mailbox? I already got them once for registering on their site so I am not sure why they sent me another 9 coins.

Not everyone got coins. Some people got glimmer, or focused light XP boosters.

You should have also gotten a Legendary weapon. I got a 55A-AllFate, which I also got from the Nightfall this week. Lucky me!
