Losing the badass tokens sucks, but right now I only have about 5-6% bumps across the board, so it's not going to impact me THAT much. Would have been nice to keep going on those, for sure.

Finally found Jimmy Jenkins last night. what a huge pain in my ass. i hate random spawns. I have one challenge left to get the achievement. I had read that if Jimmy was your last one it may not pop, so i saved one.
also found the orange off of both Pimon and Tumba. The shotgun is AWESOME. want the lvl 50 one when i get there

Just two questions....
On the second playthru what level are the enemies starting out?
On the Pirate DLC, is that a continuation of the first playthru or part of the second or does it do both?
PS...by the way I finally got the "Goliath might appear once in awhile" in The Fridge last night basically completing everything in the first play playthru except "The Big T-dude".

Well, played normally last night after the reset. Started TVH mode and we made it to Sanctuary. I was primarily trying for the two remaining challenges, but I decided I'll just go back to normal mode and farm them easily because I hate shotguns and launchers.
Other than losing the bonuses I had, nothing else was affected. In fact I ended with over 400 bad ass points and some 25-30 tokens to spend because the challenges I was completing were all level 4 and 5.
Hopefully they fix it in the future and merge my progress or, at the very least, forget my bonuses and just give me credit for the challenges completed and I'll just reassign them.
So, moral of the story, if it happens to you, don't sweat it too much.

Yeah, I can't remember, but I think I had 5-10. Fell back to 1, but I can still gain those from here and Twitter. Not a huge loss since they're expendable anyway.

The pirate DLC does both. If you play it in TVH mode, the enemies will scale with you all the way up to lvl 50+. If you play it in normal mode, they max out in the 31-32 range so if you're higher than that it makes for a much easier time.
Also, the DLC has a lvl 50 "super boss" that become available after you finish it. Similar to Terramorphous, it doesn't matter which playthrough you attempt it in.

I'd hate to run through the DLC like it's one of the early areas in the game where you get 1xp per kill and just be bored.

i would finish the game first, then do the DLC. that's the way i did it. when the enemies scaled to our level, it was far more fun.

If you finish the game first, you can actually have it both ways. If you play the DLC in True Vault Hunter mode, it'll definitely be the most challenging. And if it gets too frustrating you can just reload your character in Normal mode and blow through it.

I played some MP last night, with strangers. It was actually fun, a good way to level up faster. The only "issue", of course, was the race for the loot. I decided to not care about it, and I guess that's why I enjoyed my time. I think I will continue to use it to level up faster, without "cheating".

I believe the enemies start out at lvl 31-32 on playthrough 2.

That's what I was thinking so I'll jump into it in normal for the fist round and second in TVH mode. I'm at Level 35 with Maya completing everything and Level 32 with the Mechromancer but stil some loose ends.
So if anyone wants to go thru the Pirate DLC first time let me know. Always better with two or more.

So my buddy went and tried to fight the lvl 50 guy on the DLC now that we are lvl 50. I knew we would get crushed and it did not disappoint. We didn't even make a fucking dent in the guy. We actually lasted longer than the previous time (2 seconds), but we couldn't do shit to hurt him. It was nuts.

Nobody's mentioned this yet, but a good thing about this new DLC that was lacking in the BL1 DLC is the ability to fast travel to pretty much any of the new locations once they're discovered.
In the first game it seemed like once you traveled to a specific DLC world (i.e. Knoxx's Armory) you were kinda stuck traveling in the Knoxx locations ONLY... until you made your way back to that first area.
Now you can seamlessly go back and forth between any of the DLC and regular story locations via fast travel stations. It's all one big giant world. So technically you can do the main story AND the pirates booty stuff simultaneously if you choose.

I beat the Warrior with my level 35 Commando. Unfortunetly there was one orange item on the ground but I couldn't pick it up because it was under the dead Warrior. It look like a shield but no matter how hard I tried to get it I just couldn't grab it. Grrrr...Gearbox need to fix this with some patches so this doesn't happen again.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012
Got the challenges achievement last night once I hit level 5 on "Splish Splash" and "Open Wide" even after having my bad ass tokens reset, so I can confirm it's a minor annoyance, at worst.
For "Open Wide", I took my level 38 Commando to the Boom-Bewm area in Normal mode, killed the first one of them so the Psychos started coming out, but left the cannon dude in place. I backed myself into a little corner in the center of the area, just to the East of the cannon. Aimed my shotgun slightly down and switched inputs on the tv to watch something on the DVR. Laid down on the couch with my hand stretched over my head and every time the controller vibrated, I hit fire. If it persisted vibrating, I'd switch back over to see what was up (usually out of ammo) and I'd either pick up what was lying around, run back to the vending machine, or reposition my shotgun. Repeat until complete.
Not the most efficient way, but I didn't need another controller/account, I didn't have to hunt around, and I got to do something simultaneously. Just FYI.
