I blame DVDTALK!!! LOL!

Had a lot of fun tonight. Of course I scored me a dogtag after ya left. Stabbed some wannabe sniper in the eye!

Did you guys select Peer-to-Peer download or HTTP download for the update? I just popped the disc into my new Slim about thirty minutes ago and it's done, I'm guessing because I selected HTTP rather than P2P. I remember the first time I had to download these updates and they took what seemed like hours, but this was relatively painless.

I hope you can make it, Nic. Their version of Capture the Flag is really neat.

I forgot that I got a slim since I did the last update. I just called my wife and had her start the update.

I hope someone here is able to host, because right now there are only two rooms not using the expansion packs and they both have glitchers.

Edit: Now there's no available games for people without the DLC. Disappointing.

I have a previous engagement and am unable to host tonight. Is anyone else available?

Seeing as how it's only three or four, it might just be better to wait for a day when you can make it.

It looks like I could probably host, but I've never played MGS4 online-- so I'd have no idea what sorts of games to set up or in what locations. But it let me go so far as starting my own game with the defaults-- so it looks like I have the necessary "pipes."

Sounds good. I've never gone through the hosting setup, but the way I think it works is you set up numerous matches. I think if you make Death Matches and Team Sneak matches on each map it would be fine. Just pick whatever setting you think would be fun.

Once that shit fails miserably, hop in Battlefield. We'll be blowing shit up and stabbing snipers in the nugget!

This another subtle jab at snipers? They've only got the one nugget?

Should be on maybe 5-10 minutes after 9. I'll give it a shot, but can't make promises. And-- if it fails-- there's always bfbc2.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

Amen. If Cruz and Nic aren't on at 9:30 we can hop in BFBC2 and table MGO for another night. I just have to finish a few things up here and I'll be on in about ten minutes.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

Metal Gear Online was a lot of fun. I was sad that we decided to skip Team Sneaking as that is the mode I think is the most fun. The controls take a lot of getting used to, but if we play it a few more times then it should become second nature. What did you guys think of the weapons/maps/whatnot?

I played around with it late one night I can create a room also. I will definitely be bringing it back another night.

I would if I had it. Sorry I didn't jump in Burnout last week...shame that one never really caught on...such a fun game.
