-------------------------------------------------------------------

Every Monday or Wednesday night, we'll be rotating a game for some multiplayer action. This first post will be updated with the necessary information for you to find out what game will be played each week, who the host is, and the start time.

Our weekly leagues are meant for fun and not to "pwn N00bs", so please play accordingly if you're an expert. Our league numbers dwindle when the entire group isn't having fun; nothing is less fun than "multiplayer douchebaggery". Also if you are a new friend please mention that you are from DVDTalk in the message you send.

Previous weeks:
Spoiler:
Week 1: Modern Warfare 2, BFBC2
Week 2: MW2, Killzone 3, BFBC2
Week 3: Metal Gear Solid 4, Burnout Paradise
Week 4: Killzone 3
Week 5: Transformers: War for Cybertron
Week 6: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
Games played in the original rotation:
Spoiler:
BioShock 2
Burnout Paradise
Red Dead Redemption
Red Faction: Guerrilla
Resistance 2
Uncharted 2
Warhawk

Games owned by DVDTalkers not in original rotation:
Spoiler:
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Battlefield 1943
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Borderlands
Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
GTA, LittleBig Planet
Metal Gear Solid 4
Modnation Racers
Transformers: War for Cybertron

Note: Unless otherwise included in the game info above, DLC packs will only be used if everyone agrees to them.
If you're interested in Our weekly games CoD, Warhawk or NCAA Football - check my signature below. And there is also the Battlefield Talk thread for more info on BFBC2's weekly group which is also in my sig.

You don't need a host for Battlefield, but OK.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

Couldn't sleep last night so I decided to hop in around 2 am and see waht kind of shenanigans I could find in some of the multiplayer games I own while spending only 15-20minutes in each - ADD style

BattleField Bad Company 2 - found a nice match of Rush. Opposing team was full of camping snipers so I did a ton of counter-sniping and spotting for my team ended up with gold squad.
Call of Duty 4 - found a glitched match on shipment which was fun - 9vs.9 on that tiny map. Hopped into 2great unglitched TDMs - final score on both was seperated by one kill.
Modern Warfare 2 - Got into a glitched Fuel -one guy had turned himself into a stationary AC130 using his gun like the AC130(looked funny - sucked for everyone else). got into an unglitched Trailer Park TDM - final score 7500 - 7300. Then had a hard time finding any tactical matches.
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - had fun in a couple of matches running around stabbing people.
Medal of Honor - had a 57MB update - decided to skip it and try on another night.
BioShock 2 - found some high level guys tearing people up - had my ass handed to me repeatedly

Killzone 3 - singleplayer demo - the single player plays better than the multiplayer - can't wait to rent it.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

I only have Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops, Warhawk, and Bad Company 2. I'll join in for those games whenever I can.

Edit: I also have Metal Gear Solid 4, so I'm definitely down for that.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

Dedicated nights:

Tuesdays: Warhawk
Thursdays: CoD
Fridays: BFBC2

I'd stick to Mondays/Wednesdays on this thread...or you could just leave Fridays permanent in the OP.

I still have pretty much everything from before (Bioshock 2, Resistance 2, Red Faction, Burnout Paradise, RDR, etc.)

I'll leave BFBC2 on Fridays unless a group wants to set up something else up.

I still have Bioshock 2, Resistance 2, Red Faction, Burnout Paradise, RDR.

I also have CoD4, MW2, Black Ops (of course), Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Medal of Honor, Metal Gear Solid 4(that update kills me) , Borderlands GOTY, Transformers: War for Cybertron, BFBC2, LBP and GTA4. Battlefield 1943 could make for a nice diversion for the BFBC2 crowd.

Other games I would like to add include Brink (day one purchase), Modnation Racers or Blur or Split Second (cart racer action/douchiness factor could make one of these 3 good fun for the usual suspects). If anyone has any recommendations or requests feel free to post.

Ditto. Of the other games you listed, I also have:

CoD4, Metal Gear Solid 4, Borderlands GOTY, LBP, GTA4, and Blur.
All of them are in my unplayed pile except for LBP though, lol.

Still have Uncharted 2 also.

I put it somewhere between Warhawk and BFBC2. It's not super twitchy. It has customizable classes. Controls are responsive and fairly intuitive. I've played a handful of matches and nothing really feels overpowered. Good and a nice change of pace but not great. I'd say I got my money's worth for under $20.
