Mortal Kombat - 2011

Re: Mortal Kombat - 2011
There are rumors that Jason and Freddy will be released as DLC. I really don't want to get my hopes up but that may possibly be the coolest DLC ever created.

That would be awesome indeed.
Found out about this on another board, there are 4 secret spots in the krypt that give you 5,000 credits each.
Deadlands: To the right of DL-52, right of the building.
Hollow of Infestation: Along the wall, in front of a demon head sculpture.
Meadow of Despair: To the right of the Necropolis entry.
Bloodmarsh: Along the wall, in front of a demon head sculpture.
Look for a spot on the ground with a bunch of green spiders stare at it for several seconds until you get the purchase prompt for Sec 1, 2, 3 or 4.

Played the demo on the PS3....felt....weak. I've always been attracted to MK's visual nonsense but the game play has always left me displeased. Like it's too by the numbers for me. Just...feels cheap.

Ok, custom soundtracks were in the demo but not working for some reason on the full version. Kind of irks me that they put something so huge in the demo to get people to buy it and it isn't even in the full version.

My TE of MK was just shipped yesterday by Best Buy. That means that I won't get the game until next week because of Easter.

Maybe it's just me, but so far it seems that all the people who don't like the game are also the ones who suck at it

You're in Ontario, so... I'm not surprised.
I'm in Alberta, and my Tournament Edition shipped today... so I'll MAYBE get it by Friday next week.

Re: Mortal Kombat - 2011
ok...so i want to try and play this game. i got frustrated with the few minutes i played prior because i couldn't pull off any moves.
in the Fatality Tutorial, even though i follow the prompts and use unlimited time i can't pull off the particular fatality for that character.
is there some trick i am missing to do this with normal xbox controller?
let the flaming begin, but if one out of the dozen can help i will be satisfied. thanks for some help.

Otherwise, my advice to you would be not to rush the inputs or panic. Just be very deliberate with your inputs as this Mortal Kombat seems more forgiving than those in the past with regards to performing fatalities. You will get better with practice.

When you say you are following the prompts, are you also mindful of the spacing(or distance you need to be away from the other character)? The outline of the box on the ground will be green if you are in the correct position.

By your own admission you only played the game for a few minutes before quitting. That is probably your biggest problem.

Are there frendships and babalities in the game? MY strategy guide didn't say a thing about Them.
