According to the in-game menu, you can get this by signing up for the Rockstar Games Social Club (or signing in from the game if you're already a member). I tried to sign up through the game, but it couldn't talk to their server.

How much difference does the war horse make?
No idea. It'll be at least 6 hours before I get a chance to play but I'll post my impressions on the horse as soon as I have some.

There is a setting for easy, normal and expert aiming in single and MP.

I like the game so far. The horse controls, suck though. I need to jack a Model T.

Crap, I went out and bought one at lunch too. (Still at work so I haven't opened it yet though). Now I'm not sure what to do. I really wanna play it, but I want my DLC too. I did buy it at TRU though and got the $25 giftcard (even though I knew I'd have to return that too if I wanted the full amount back)... Think if open them both I can still come out ahead by selling one used on Amazon Marketplace in 4 or 5 days?

Although if some people are saying they didn't even get their DLC code in the case from Amazon, I don't know if it's worth even opening it. Decisions, decisions.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

I got the Gold Guns code in my Amazon case. The map on the back of the poster is nice. Are all the posters the same? I got a chick with a rifle.

I really think I'll just be eBaying the golden gun code unless someone here can convince me I should use them for some reason. Also, the co-op dlc they're advertising is free for everyone, right? I won't need the golden gun code to use for that as well, I assume.

Do you mean the DLC is inside the sealed box? Or was it included in the packaging that the game case shipped in? I haven't opened my box yet.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

I played for a few hours this afternoon. It takes a while to get the hang of riding a horse but I'm ok at it out now. My horse slid down a ravine while I was riding and died, but you can skin it and take the meat

Hunting is pretty fun, no bear yet

There's plenty of side mission including random strangers who you come across while wandering around.

The bounty mission I can see be become frustrating later in the game because the guy you are after isn't alone and then you are chased by other guys the entire way back to where you turn it in.

Yes, in the sealed box. Between the instruction manual and the poster. Nothing on the outside of the case or artwork to indicate it was in there.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Inside the TRU copy I got, there was a card advertising the new DLC in June. On the back of that was an ad for Max Payne 3.

In the Amazon case, it was the same, except in place of the Max Payne ad was the golden guns code.

A friend of mine didn't get his code from Amazon either. Just send them an email, they will send you out another copy right away.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

That sucks. They must have just switched cards. Like I said, Amazon will ship out another copy at no charge. As long as you send them back the first copy within 30 days, they won't charge you.

If this happens to me I'll just chalk up the loss of the guns rather than go through the hassle of sending back the original copy.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

It's not a hassle. Just pack it up in a box and drop it off. Or even have UPS come pick it up.

That's valuable time I could spend whorin', drinkin', gamblin', robbin' banks, hootin' and/or hollerin'. Or possibly even spend playin' Red Dead Redemption.

I remember I ordered my ps3 a week before God of War III came out, and UPS didn't show up with my system until March 16th at 7p.m. I was pissed and happy as hell at the same time LOL.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Was gonna get this for the ps3 but gonna wait and get it for my 360 once I get it fixed, since many sources say the 360 runs at 720p 2x AA and the ps3 just runs at 640p

on joystiq it says "360 version has quite the graphical advantage"

The back of the PS3 box says 720p. It looks fine in game as well.
