@RockstarGames
Get the ‘Red Dead Rockstar’ achievement on Xbox LIVE, go in Free Roam right now and look for RedDeadDev1 or RedDeadDev2 for the next hour

Just got this. Can't wait. Anyone with the PS3 version know if the game save is locked or not? I want to start playing on my friend's PS3 but not if I can't bring my save with me once I'm done.

Sent them a message and they responded quickly, saying they sent out a new copy. Apparently they don't go apeshit over not accepting opened copies of returned games like certain other outfits? Still it's pretty asinine they can't just get Rockstar to mail me a card with a code on it.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Rockstar sent over the stinkiest Bar soap I've ever smelled with the review copy. It's black and smells like paint. The packaging says "Good for Cleaning Blood and Manure"

The playing cards are cool though. All the face cards are are skeletons; similar to the game I assume.

That is funny.

Hopefully you can find time to actually play this one before reviewing it.

I tried it out and it appears that the saves are not locked.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Just picked up my copy - I really want to play it right now but I feel like I need to crack open a beer during my first play....may have to wait until the weekend.

That soap thing is hilarious as well.

Now I can't get it again......it will not let me use the code again.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

I can't do anything on line. I try to redeem my Rock Star code, it times out. I try to sign in to the Social Club, it times out. I try Free Roam, "a network connection was lost".

Anybody else having problems? (360 version)

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

I had no problem doing a private free roam with a few people, nothing public. I also couldn't link up to the R* Social Club.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

It seems like tons of people are having problems with the 360 version like not being able to sign on and tons of glitches in MP, all kinds of stuff.

I wasn't able to log into the Social Club on my PS3 earlier, but it finally just now let me.

After spending about 4 hours playing the game, and the vast majority of that being spent just riding around and doing random encounters and that sort of thing, I've gotta say that this game is everything I hoped it would be. One thing has shocked me though, and I'm not sure why this is. In the GTA games, I never really felt "bad" about doing rotten stuff. But in this game, it feels more real to me for some reason. I haven't just went crazy and killed an innocent person or anything like that. This is a very immersive experience. I'm sure that will change, it sorta has to to do certain things in the game, but I thought that was pretty cool.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

How many times we've seen a hot game come out and that very day sever and sign-on issues galore. Chill out...it'll all work out and there's plenty fun to be had for a long time....not unless you're one of those that just has to finish the game in the first 24 hrs just to brag about it.

I was able to link with the social club and go online free roam but the golden guns code wouldn't accept. It said try again later.

My game should be at home right now. Sadly I'm at work for another 4 1/2 to 5 hours.

Which game are you referring to? Soosiz? LOL, I can take a screenshot of my iPad.

And I won't be reviewing this one. But I'll be playing the hell out of the copy that UPS delivered an hour ago.

I am multiple hours in and only just now realized that I can indeed fight hand to hand. I only just noticed the option to pick your fists in the weapon select screen.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Played campaign for about an hour. My favorite part so far was riding around town and seeing a whore roughed up. Shot the guy dead, and robbed him, while she thanked me.

Me and a friend played some multiplayer (PS3) and had a couple of good matches, but there were not a lot of people playing

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Wouldn't it be easier and more cost effective for Amazon to just get some extra codes and email them to the people that didn't get them? Who comes up with this brainless shit of mailing games back because they're missing a piece of paper?
