I think you get an achievement/trophy just for getting into a multiplayer game.

My order's still "Not Yet Shipped", damn super saver shipping. I'm considering just canceling it and going to TRU at my lunch break. What am I missing in this "Golden Gun Pack" if I do that?

Again, I wouldn't trust that shipping status. I've had release-day pre-orders in my hand while the website still said "shipping soon."

Right, but I don't have prime and didn't spring for Release Day shipping and I only ordered yesterday.

Now I have to sit and wait for the FedEx guy to show up and if past events are any indication I can expect him to don full ninja regalia, use a cloak of invisibility to approach my front door, and then oh so stealthily affix a "We Tried to Deliver" tag before burning rubber out of here. Then I get to wait until he returns to the barn at around 7:00 whereupon I get to drive into town to finally acquire my package.

That's what I did. I canceled my Amazon order last night, and I'm going to TRU in a few minutes. Amazon showed my esimated ship date as May 24 with super saver shipping. Even if they shipped it today, I would be lucky to get it before the weekend.

I see.... Then I have no advice for you. IMO I'd still rather have the $20 promo credit with Amazon than deal with TRU. Even when things work out at TRU, I often feel like I still got screwed somehow.

Well, with 1 year old twins at home, my wife can always find a use for the giftcard at Babies R Us. Or I could just go buy it somewhere so that I can play it, and then when the Amazon copy comes, I can return it to the store, thereby keeping the Amazon credit and pre-order bonus.

Twins!! I have one one-year old and I shudder every time I think about going into BRU. I will absolutely go anywhere else whenever possible. And I will make multiple stops if I have to. But I think you might be best served by your return-to-store scheme. If I still had a TRU right around the corner from my work - perfect for lunch trips - I would absolutely do that.

I might actually leave work early to boot this up.

Only I think I'd rather first get exposed to the environments in the single-player first instead of having them spoiled for me in the multiplayer.

I'm not really a fan either, but it's my wife's favorite store. So she's going to spend money there whether I want her to or not, lol.

I'm itching to play this - just picked it up on the way to work. Unfortunately between Lost and game 2 of Hawks-Sharks I'll be busy from 8pm on. I know if I try it before Lost I'll get hooked. Decisions...
