Yeah, I really have no desire for the MOVE controller...unless I get it cheap. I already have the PS Eye. I have a Wii and I barely play it as is....I would rather play SOCOM with a controller anyways.

I did read on some site that the Move will come without the Eye for those that already own one. I would have assumed that it would, but it's nice to see confirmation.

Just curious : For those who own a PS3 and a 360, would you be more inclined to get a Move or Natal, assuming they're priced similarly? I'd lean towards a Move because I just doubt that visual tracking is good enough to play games satisfactorily. That said, boy do I wish the PS3 had a USB port in back so you wouldn't have cords sticking out of the front of the console.

I would probably lean towards NATAL, as they made it look cooler in the demos

As for the USB issue. I hate them in the front also. I have a 60GB, so I have 4 up front. I have the camera in one, a charge cable and something else.

I'm not going to buy either one based on hype or what we've seen so far. If they come out and we start seeing games that really benefit from the technology, I wouldn't be opposed to buying either or both. I just don't see that happening though. Developers have had three years with the Wii and have done little to make motion control a vital part of the gaming experience. I don't have much faith that transplanting it onto other consoles is going to result in some kind of breakthrough.

This is my opinion on both. I have a Wii and the thing I like least about it is the motion controls. It is fine for a Wii Sports thing here or there, but it for most Wii games it takes away from the gaming experience instead of adding to it.

I learned my lesson from the Wii. Don’t be sold on hype. Wait a year or so down the line after it comes out and see how the games are turning out. The games might look better since their in HD, but if their not any fun to play, what’s the point?

I'm still waiting to see how well either one of these systems is supposed to do well for myself and other disabled video game players.

Unfortunately all this motion control stuff usually requires people to do things we can't do. This being for a lot of people the possible wave of the future in video games leaves quite a few of us feeling left out.

And I've tried to use my niece's Wii. Feel like I'm going to pull my arm out the only way I can handle it.

Not interested in Move either. I like the Wii, but can't stand when motion is tacked on for no reason (see NSMBWii and SMG).

At least with Natal, MS is trying something different, not just a 'me too' wii attachment. It's hard to say if Natal will be a purchase though without seeing any games yet, but if you can really control the system Minority Report style, then it is definitely on the radar.

I like that with the Eye, motion controls are completely optional. If you like playing SOCOM that way, go ahead if (like 99.9999% of gamers) you prefer to play your FPS with conventional controls, you can do that as well. A big improvement over the tacked-on motion controls of the Mario Wii games.

FWIW EA announced today that while Tiger 11 will have Move-enabled controls, the 360 version won't be Natal inabeled.

If you guys have a Wii nearby, you can charge the PS3 controllers through it. Strangely, I am unable to charge the controllers with my Blackberry adapter.

I charge mine with the USB port in my cable box.

So now the Wii has 2 uses... dust collection and PS3 controller charging.

I will probably get the Move just so I can play Tiger Woods 11 with motion controls. The Table Tennis demo looked pretty cool too.

Outside of crappy Wii ports and an occasional no brainer(bowling, Tiger Woods), this sounds like the kiss of death for Move.

Why would developers waste time and resources on two control methods for the same game?

Yep,

I have a USB cable running out the back of my Wii and behind/under my AV rack just for that purpose.

Dumb question but why didn't Sony think of this?

Big ol' MEH from me on the Move. Natal doesn't interest in me either.

In standby yes, but only if WiiConnect24 is enabled. Or if you shut it down to where the red light is displayed, the USB ports are not powered.

I found this out when I couldn't operate my PS3 with my Harmony remote. I use the Wii's USB port to power my PS3 IR adapter.

I just charge my controller with my computer. That cable serves dual-purpose: charging PS3 controllers and updating my Harmony One.

Am I the only one who thinks the "Wii collecting dust" jokes are so obvious and overplayed that they're not at all funny anymore?

I'm not overly excited about PS Move yet (particularly since my PS3 is currently broken), but I may gain interest depending on the games that can use it.

If only they were jokes
