I read it will cost $100 and include a game. But it requires the PS3 camera which I'm sure is not included in the price.

So I assume there will be a smaller, less expensive bundle for those who already own the Playstation Eye?
Is this why we in the US never got the EyePet? Because they wanted it to work with the Move?

Pardon the interruption but I just stumbled onto this commercial that I missed (figured others might have as well), thought it was just as funny as the others:

Not very impressive stuff on PlayStation Move, engadget has a video and said its not as responsive right now, they said its not 1:1 like they were saying yet. They noticed lag and it sometimes had a hard time figure out what what the player was doing.
I am more excited for the Natal, too me Sony Screw the performance up tonight by showing games that resemble things we already have on Nintendo Wii.
I also know the big bright ball helps the tracking but it sure looks goofy. The sword game didnt look very fun, and thats the problem with alot of these motion games, they end up being very simple, attacks are basic and not very cinematic. I would rather play good 3rd person game instead of a simple motion game.
I think the best thing they showed at the press conference was the eye pet thing.

You can't compare it to the Wii, this is truly revolutionary. These games can be in HD, son!

PlayStation®Move offers a new and innovative gaming experience for the PlayStation®3 system by fusing realistic, high-definition gaming along with accurate, intuitive control. Consisting of the PlayStation®Move motion controller, PlayStation®Move sub-controller and PlayStation®Eye camera, PlayStation Move enables sophisticated motion control and immersive gameplay only possible on the PS3 system.

PLAYSTATION®MOVE MOTION CONTROLLER
The corner stone of PlayStation Move, PlayStation Move motion controller combines advanced motion sensors, a dynamic color changing sphere, vibration feedback, and an easy to use button interface. Equipped with three-axis gyroscope, three-axis accelerometer and terrestrial magnetic field sensor, PlayStation Move motion controller tracks the precise movements and the angle of the controller. The PS3 system also detects the absolute position of the controller in 3D space by using PlayStation Eye camera. Highly sensitive movement tracking can be accurately traced back to the game, allowing intuitive gameplay as if the player is within the game.

Key Features

- Includes action buttons of DUALSHOCK®3 and SIXAXIS® wireless controller for direct input
- Sleek and Wireless
- Built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery
- Advanced motion sensors in the controller precisely track both fast and subtle movements
- Color of the sphere's light provides visual feedback during gameplay
- Vibration feedback is felt during specific actions
- Bluetooth® technology supports wireless gaming
- Simultaneously use up to four motion controllers with a PS3 system
- Charge the controller and automatically pair it with the PS3 system via a USB cable (Type A - Mini-B)
- Sleek curved body design that easily pairs with the motion controller

PLAYSTATION®EYE CAMERA
As an integral part of PlayStation Move, PlayStation Eye camera is designed specifically to work with the next generation of PlayStation Move gaming titles being developed for the PS3 system. When used with PlayStation Move motion controller, PlayStation Eye camera precisely tracks a user’s movement and the motion controller’s sphere to help bring every move into the game. In addition, PlayStation Eye camera captures a player’s voice or image and when combined together with PlayStation Move games, will bring a whole new entertainment experience to user only possible on the PlayStation® platform.
Key Features
- Engineered to perform in low-light conditions so that the rooms do not have to be lit brightly for the camera to deliver crisp, perfectly exposed video

Apparently, according to Joystiq, they weren't allowed to trademark Arc, so they quickly decided on Move.
Part of me thinks the whole thing could have been better and smaller and less big balled if they had built a better camera system to support this, rather than relying on the state of the art technology from 2002 - the Playstation Eye.

Motion control is a novelty that has already worn thin - for example, the only Wii games I get are the ones that don't really use the motion controls (Mario, Muramasa, Boy&Blob, CapcomVStatsunoko, etc.).

Yeah. Sony is way too late to the party. Most of the games look like they could get boring real fast too.

I already have a Wii if I want to play motion control. Unless this thing is ridiculously cheap (since it's Sony that won't happen), they'd have to have an AMAZING game to get me to buy.

Wow, really innovative guys.
