The best part about LBP (the community stuff) is completely offline, and like everything else on the PSN will be offline until the end of the month.

I got the free shirt today and I have to wonder why they think I would want to wear it. I don't even know what it says.

Who gets the free t-shirt? Everybody? I wonder what will happen if they send me one; I'm a bigger guy and the last thing I need is a free medium t-shirt.

I think only members of the rewards program are getting the shirt.

There's a GoW collection the updates the first two games to HD for the PS3 that's worth playing.

Played Castlevania on the 360 and sold it after 2 hours. Hated it.
I agree, but it does get good a little after the 3rd hour, and then awesome at about 5 and stays awesome - it's about 18 hours long.

LBP is my next buy. Should I just skip 1 and go for the sequel?
If you can find it cheap, the first one's worth it, but the 2nd one is a bit better, though maybe more unwieldy.

Of course in Japan everyone wears shirts with English writing though they have no idea what it says. I visited in 1987 with my friend and he picked up a shirt for his girlfriend that read "Life Is Just A Flood Of The Accurate Pinchbeck". How they came up with that phrase, I have no idea.

*slowly nods knowingly*

It makes sense if you think about it.

:hscratch: Neither of those games are RPGs.

This is going to sound like a joke, the game gets good around 3-4 hours in. The first few hours are monotonous.

I'd definitely recommend the God of War collection (God of War 1 & 2 remastered). I played those before 3 and loved it all, with 2 probably being my favorite out of all of 'em.

I saw this story over at Fox Business and it might be old news but here it is....

Sony: Not Sure When PlayStation Network Will Restart

On a side note I don't have a PS3...yet that is...just the 360 and I feel for you guys. if there is a bright spot at least this didn't happen in the fall with Battlefield 3 and other high profile Fall releases. Hang in there...

But it did happen the week that SOCOM 4, one of their big exclusive titles released and a couple of months after releasing their first MMORPG on the system.

I picked up my PS3 for xmas this past year and I have yet to really play anything on it. I have a 360 and I prefer it's controller (I will eventually pick up one of the 360 type controllers for it) and there are just not any exclusives that have swayed me over yet. I picked up MAG and SOCOM 3, neither of which did much for me - SOCOM 3 was all online and only vs, unlike their previous titles in the series. I was waiting to hear some feedback on SOCOM 4 before picking it up, but nothing yet with the crash.

Its funny how my interest in gaming has gone to zero since the outage. I was still playing Socom and MK the first few days it was down, but havent touched anything since.

Games are able to update w/o PSN. Fallout: NV 1.05 for example was released during the outage and I was able to download.

Sweet!

I will definitely hold onto my copy of Blazblue: Continuum Shift 2 for PS3. PS3 gets the update about 2 days from now.

Does anyone recall if the PS1 game, Intelligent Qube, is available for download on PSN? I was reminded of this game recently and would love to play it again. That is... when the network's back up.

I believe it was released in the JPN PSN Store but not the US PSN Store.

Sorry, don't know the gaming lingo. I was one of those people who bought the PS3 back in 2007 solely for playing blu ray movies. Lo and behold, I started to play games just last year on it.

I have to agree with most, Castlevania is really sluggish the first couple of chapters (How come there's like 20 levels the first few chapters, then drops to like 3 in the later ones?), but by the end, it became a really fun ride.

Ill hold off on buying Sony titles until I see what the compensation might be for the downloads.

I got the 320GB PS3...what the hell can I use all that extra space for besides installing the game (or can I even do that)?

PSN Restoration Timeline Update
+ Posted by Patrick Seybold // Sr. Director, Corporate Communications & Social Media
I know you all want to know exactly when the services will be restored. At this time, I can’t give you an exact date, as it will likely be at least a few more days. We’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work through this process.
You do realize Gizmo that the compensation will only go to people that had an active psn before the outage right? I took your post as to say you were waiting to buy a ps3 until you find out what kind of compensation you would get. If I misunderstood then sorry.

You can only install a game if the game allows it or has an option to do so, you can't install everything.

Some games will copy over a lot of data to the hard drive and some won't. In most cases you can't decide whether to do it or not.

Generally, the extra space is used for non-game things like videos, music, and pictures. If you won't be doing any of that, you probably won't ever have to swap for a new drive.

Gotcha, thanks.

Grabbed the 320GB Move Bundle for less than $300 with tax. Hard to beat.

Now to play some 3D Dot!

I've been lucky so far. I'm watching L&O:SVU S11 as I type this. It was running slow last night though.
