Nope - I wanted to but reading how it's loaded with dick jokes makes me want to skip it. But what do you think about it?
Although I will say, while some of juvenile puns and jokes do get very old, the game is totally aware of mocking the horror game genre which has lead to some very entertaining and funny moments. |

I just found out you can use the license transfer tool once every 4 months now instead of 12. I had no idea they had changed the time limit, that's great news. Thanks to Chrono Gear on CAG for the info.

Newegg has the 4GB Slim with Kinect as today's shell shocker, $299.99 + $100.00 Newegg Gift Certificate + Newegg T-Shirt. Looks like you also get UPS 3 day shipping free.

I wish there would be more specials with the 250GB version. Fuck the 4GB.

Yeah, but you can turn around and use the GC to buy the 200GB hard drive that costs that much. It's essentially like buying a the large model and getting a free Kinect.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
New hard drives. The old are deprecated. Plus the 4gb console is fly matte instead of glossy.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Thanks for the quick answers. I went ahead and bit. I have been wanting one for the upstairs and this will keep the kids out of my basement. I'm gonna wait on getting the $100 GC from newegg and just probably use it to order the 250gb hd even though it appears a good bit more there than elsewhere since I never really shop at newegg.
A 250gb 360 with Kinect for $320 with free shipping and no tax is a damn good deal. |
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
I was thinking about upgrading, but I really would like the Gears 360 bundle that's coming out. I'm trying to see how much trade-in credit I can stock pile at Amazon for it.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Is the gears bundle going to include kinect?
|
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Nope, just two of the new D pad style controllers and a copy of the game. I'm thinking about getting that Gears system as well, since one of my controllers is acting up and I was going to pick up a copy of the game anyways. And I have no need for a kinect.

Do any of you have a generic hard drive for the 360? I just bought my son of the 4GB Kinect packages and we need a little larger HD but don't really need a 120 or 250 GB for his limited playing. The only drawbacks I read is that they do not play Xbox Original games (the old games downloaded from Live) and I also think it does not play backwards compatible games.
$34 bucks shipped for a 60GB generic seems pretty good since that is all we need. He won't be watching movies or downloading stuff to it. And I can spend that $100 bucks GC from newegg on something else. Any opinions or something I should know? He really won't be getting online much (if at all) but I didn't know if they can remote brick the HD or something. |
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
If you can find someone on craigslist or such selling an original 20GB drive those can be easily removed from their case and used with the newer Xboxes. Since there's no real market for the older clip-on drives any longer they tend to be really cheap if you can locate one.

However, I think mugwump has a good idea. Or you can check Amazon Warehouse deals where they regularly have the 250GB HD for $60. |

How about 2 16 gb memory sticks?

You may have saved me even more money as I just remembered while typing this that I should still have my old 20gb hard drive from when I upgraded my old unit to a 120gb hd. Thanks! |
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
No problem, glad to help. The only tricky part is getting the drive to seat properly when you put it in the new Xbox so just take your time with that step.

Awesome! I had no idea you could do this. I just watched a couple of videos on youtube and it looks really easy.

I don't think there is any way the numbers are accurate, at least not for me. They're way too high.
Some game names are wrong for me also. Dead Space 2 shows up as Dead Space, and Crackdown shows up as Crackdown890. |
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Yeah, there's no way I spent over 300 hours playing Mafia II, although it did feel like it at times.

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a76/MCorvin/Stats.jpg Yeah... I don't think so. I play Zombie mode a few hours, maybe twice a week on the high side. I haven't even touched the MP or campaign. |
