totally agree. I just bought a 4gb console with the Kinect for my son because I didn't know about this one yet and we couldn't wait that long. But even though my love for SW has waned extensively over the years, I still want the fuck out of this console. I don't know what that says about me. I showed my seven year old son the video about it last night and he basically shit a brick.

I might just dump the new slim I got, move the old 120gb up to his room and then get this one for my basement. Tough call. I have that $100 GC from the sale for the 4gb at newegg. If they sell this, I may just say fuck it.

 it's like bizarro world on here. I got together with friends last night and this console came up and only 1/5 liked it. This is among 5 friends that are uber SW nerds. However, 5/5 liked the controller and white Kinect.

I've read a lot of input on a few forums on this and so far I'm guessing it's like 7to3 that think it's just plain ugly. But the white Kinect and HC is pretty cool. I do say, I like the sounds but if you like yours on the side than standing up it then it looses some of it's main visual appeal. For a "newcomer" it's a pretty good deal but I'll pass. The money is needed for all the games coming down the pike this year.

I went ahead and preordered. I have 5 months to "hide" the money for it from the wife. I will probably keep the black in the living room and put this in the boys room, as the living room has no place to put this vertical, but I'll see what I do with it. I did not want to wait and flip-flop on getting it or not and having it sell out and not have a shot at it.

As great as the Star Wars 360 looks, and despite how much I would love to pick it up, I think I'm going to pass. Too much money for something I don't need.

According to Major Nelson a new media remote and wireless headset are on the way.
I like the look of the headset and am really glad it's a combo RF/bluetooth setup.

The headset is going to be like the big turtle beach ones but with hair buns like Princess Leia!

Is there a site that lets you plug in the name of a particular game and then recommends similar games?

Anyone played the UFC workout game on the 360? I liked Sports Active 2 when it worked but the locking up bug made it unusable as a little in-home workout. The UFC game appears to be the newest and I was curious if anyone on here had tried it yet.

It's suppose to be great!

... when it works.

Apparently, it has a lot of issues losing sync, and then you have to start your routine from the beginning, really annoying.

Those were the user reviews when it was released, I don't know if they fixed that.

That is why I was curious if anyone on here had it and played it. Reviews said the standard things like it sometimes had issues tracking the floor exercises (EA Active 2 had the same issue) and that it sometimes miscounted reps.

Those seemed like minor issues to me.

Losing sync and having to restart the routine though is a pretty damn big issue. I hate the fact that it is so hard to find out if patches have fixed some games post-release.

What ever became of this?

<object width="640" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kz6aTTKE6hE&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kz6aTTKE6hE&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></embed></object>

And why are the wireless adapters for PC so hard to find these days?

Cool. I'll see if I can track one down. I want it for PC gaming and I hear 360 controllers are great for that.

Here it is. A deal at $50. But here's the thing : In order to use it on a PC, you need a wireless adapter that I don't think is sold separately anymore. You can just plug and play with a wired controller like this, but that doesn't have the new D-pad.

edit : It looks like now they do sell the PC Wireless Adapter for the 360 controller for $27. And in case you were wondering, even though the new wireless controller with revised D-pad comes with that charge and play cable, it won't work as a PC input with that.

Anyone know if there are any good Xbox 360 Slim Messenger Bags/Travel Cases out right now?

I've only found one and the reviews on it have been pretty bad.

I use a targus 15" laptop backpack and it works fine for the 360.

Does it fit snug or is there a little room for the Slim's Power Brick?

I've been using an over-the-shoulder backpack to get my 360 around, but there is way too much wiggle room in it.

I see this wireless adapter is cheaper. Is there a difference or is it the same as the unit you showed me?

By the time I put the power cord and a couple of controllers in there it fits pretty snug. Of course they do make the 360 specific backpacks. I just used my old laptop bag and it seemed to fit pretty good.
