An 8 hour, infinitely re-playable Campaign in a game with a massive multiplayer component seems pretty fair in my book.

I've been playing SO MUCH Borderlands recently, that while playing Reach, I keep throwing grenades when I'm just trying to look down my gun's sights to get a better shot...

I did the same thing. I keep using MW2 controls and tried to zoom in as soon as the match started and ended up throwing a grenade that hit everybody on my team.

don't get me wrong, the game is a brilliant value...but as one who has no plans on doing the MP, I sort of wish the game was longer, but the Firefight mode is fantastic and will get a lot of play....

Yeah.

And I've to check how to switch grenades. LB doesn't do that anymore.

It's the B button now. Had to look it up as well.

If you get into some multiplayer with some friends who aren't obsessed with winning then it can be an absolute blast. Set up your preferences so it auto-mutes anyone not on your friends list or in your party and go to town. Good times can easily be had.

I also happily volunteer to play online with folks if you don't get bent out of shape about losing. I tend to have a beer or two, chat it up, and fool around shooting folks in Halo without taking it too seriously.

I don't really understand what the orange mod that switches out with the Sprint one does. Does it give extra shield or recharge your armor faster? I just know it looks silly to punch the ground while people shoot at you.

I have seen you on there, but I don't think I have seen you with a mic. I like to at least chat with my teammates.

If by shooting people you mean purposefully team killing, then I'm probably going to get annoyed. If you just mean shooting the other team, then we're good to go.

I don't take it too seriously, but that doesn't mean I won't let the expletives fly now and again.

I personally like the jetpack and sprint. I haven't really used the others all that much.

It is an armor lock. If you hold the button you will kneel with your fist to the ground. While you are in that position you take no damage and if a vehicle runs into you the vehicle dies (instead of splattering you). If you stay there for a couple seconds (like 1/3 or 1/2 the full meter) then when you pop out of the armor lock you will instantly drain the shields of any enemies that are close to you.

I actually like that perk in multiplayer. It can work really well in some situations. The key word though is some. Often I will see people lock down and I can simply back up and wait for their meter to expire and then take them out.

Not seeing me with a mic? How would you even know from looking on the list?

Either way, if I am playing with people I know I will always have a mic. I tend to be chatty. If I'm just puttering about on my own in random matches though I will go mic-less simply because I don't like the average online gamer.

As for team killing, no. Playing against the spirit of the game bugs me to no end.

I got this today at Walmart hadn't really decided, but the have a an offer of you get a $20 giftcard with purchasem pretty easy decision then as I can put it toward TS3 blu ray in Novemeber

try playing MAG for an extended period of time prior to playing reach. why does sony/zipper insist that R1 be the trigger (the RB analog on the xbox controller)?

i prefer sprint - usually i can hide in a corner, wait for someone to walk past, sprint, assassinate ...

rinse and repeat.

I haven't successfully assassinated anyone yet in multiplayer. It's just hold down the right bumper right? It seems to always swing instead. Maybe I'm letting go too soon? Any tips?

i switched to the control layout that melee is B (i think recon). you do have to hold down the button longer than a melee attack. i would just hold the button down until you trigger the animation. beware, while the assassination animation is running, you are defenseless and a pretty easy target.
