Ok, I finally got a chance to play the Beta last night for about an hour. I have mixed feelings about it. I'm not sure how I feel about the Loadouts. They essentially give you 4 choices where each character has a special ability: Run, Guard, Stalker, Jet Pack. It's almost like they are going towards the RPG/level up aspect of FPS now. The Jet Pack just seems a bit lame to me. It appears Halo is moving more towards the Call of Duty loadout rather than sticking with the classic Halo gameplay.

I guess my intial impressions are that I prefer the previous Halo games more at this point....but I will give it some more time.

Looking forward to trying this out tonight. Gotta get my Halo skills back. It's going to be ugly.

The Beta hasn't officially begun so there's no real talk about it yet.

When does the beta officially start? How do I get to play it? What if I have ODST installed to my HD? Will it still work? School me on some of the changes to the gameplay. Will I need to get a new controller to play this?
