Fun campaign so far but obviously the developers have been playing a lot of COD:MW in their spare time.
I am actually a little nervous about venturing into the MP aspect right now. Haven't played Halo MP in so long, their are cobwebs in my headset.

The campaign was pretty fun. Bungie has really polished this game. Everything seems to work perfectly. Especially the vehicle controls. So many FPS are dragged down by horrible tank or helicopter levels. This was the first time I actually enjoyed jumping into a vehicle.
And I'm glad there wasn't a bunch of backtracking. Hated that in the previous Halo games.

There is still one true weakness that they have yet to improve since the original Halo... teammate AI on vehicles. If I drive, they can't shoot for shit. If they drive, they drive into walls or right into an enemy blitzkrieg for an impending death.

Anyone else getting booted from co-op firefight through matchmaking after less than a minute with an error message? I haven't been able to play it, however my friend has no problems. All other matchmaking stuff works fine.

I am liking the single player campaign a lot more than ODST. I've only played the first 2 chapters (or achievements...however it is divided up) and I am enjoying it alot.

I have to admit, I'm kind of bored with this game. It hasn't grabbed me in multiplayer the way MW2 did.
The campaign, while pretty and I enjoy the level design has still given me the same sense of "what the fuck am I doing right now?" and just waiting for an arrow to point me to my next location.
The multiplayer I really enjoy is just the big team battle stuff. I like big levels, lots of people, and vehicles.
How are some people able to so easily get headshots constantly? I played one level against some people and they would consistently headshot me in a fraction of a second. It was incredibly frustrating. I would have the drop on them, see them coming, line up my cursor, and bam, I'm dead.

Of course that might not be the reason....I have heard a lot of complaints from people who are studs on MW1 and 2, or Rainbow or Bad Company 1 and 2...that this happens a lot in Halo games, and is one of the reasons I have always been a little intimidated by Halo MP...

I do zoom, but I'm not waiting until they turn that corner to zoom. I see them go in one door, I go to the opposite side, line up my shot, zoom in, and I'm ready to go. Before I can press the trigger, and I do NOT have slow reflexes, they have turned the corner, spotted me, and headshotted me. It just does not seem possible, and I'm usually not one to complain about these things, but something just seems fishy.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one that has this problem with Halo games. There was at least 3-4 times I was running in circles trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do.

I seriously need a GPS in every single game.

They usually tell you that stuff, but I'm so busy shooting, and all the noise from the aliens/enemies shooting at me, it's hard to concentrate in the instructions!!!

However, it is a pretty valid complaint. A beacon marker would be nice.

In most FPS without that feature I end up following the "living enemy" method. I wander around until people shoot at me and then I walk in that direction.

My copy from Amazon finally arrived today, along with my $20 credit. Played a couple team death match rounds and loved every second of it. I think the new abilities rock and refreshes the multiplayer experience. Can’t wait to dive into single player this weekend.

I've been playing a lot of ranked Big Team Battle and every now and then my ghost kills a teammate that randomly jumps in front of me. Whenever that happens they always choose to boot me.
How exactly is that determined? I've been betrayed plenty of times and I don't always get the option to boot people, even though I never will. Yet I betray a single person and I get booted right away. What's up with that?
I did kill one guy on purpose once and it was pretty funny. I got in a vehicle that I guess he wanted, so he started shooting me and lobbing grenades. Obviously, I splattered him and then he booted me. Well played douchebag, well played.

Also, in an article a while back about matchmaking, Bungie did mention something about players who often betray their teammates will start getting matched up with one another. Their idea is the folks who continuously betray will be betraying one another while the folks who play a clean game won't have to be in their games. So be careful.

edit: And as a side note - Headhunter is a total bullshit of a gametype.
