perfect. thanks. Though I don't see how moving my gamertag/profile is gonna bring up my character, especially since he doesn't have a live account. And why can't I simply copy my profile why do I have to move back and forth between storage devices?

Re: Borderlands

I had like a level 62 solider. My friend was a level 66 Lillith who had a ton of Eridean weapons. When we face Crawermax, I basically got my ass kicked around, going to the surface, dying in about a minute and respawn, while my friend whittled away at him. I'd guess it'd be doubtful, but maybe Crawermax was so dificult because we had relatively high ranks?

I have been doing almost everything on the message boards whether I was a higher level or not. Then I decided I wanted to check out the zombie DC. I don't think I have really done anything on the main mission at all, I know I am supposed to find a vault or something. How do you know if you are working on it? There are so many things to do on the message boards etc... I just keep doing those. I almost feel like I have to do each one.

Re: Borderlands

All the Bounty Board missions are side quests for XP and are totally optional. Most of the missions you get through NPC characters are the main story.

BTW, went back to this over the weekend to tackle Robot Revolution...damn that was some short DLC, especially after Knoxx. Since it was so short I decided to knock out another Big Tourney in Moxxie. So fucking boring. Now I only have one left for my final two achievements, so I gotta do it. Had a friend at 69 help me boost my final 4 levels last night as well.

Give me a ping if you want to trek through one of those Moxxie Levels, I'd be down.

Re: Borderlands

I've been doing them split screen with my silver account with a level 5 character as host. Makes going through pretty easy. It's just covering the map(run to one side to wipe out some guys then more spawn on the other side of the map where I just came from) that gets old. Less frustration too in that there's a next to zero chance of losing after 90 minutes of work.

Appreciate the offer though. I still need to finish P2. Is it better to keep P2 unfinished, or better to roll it over to 2.5?

Re: Borderlands

http://kotaku.com/#!5795148/when-you...-answer-is-yes

When Your Favorite Game Is Proposing Marriage, The Answer Is ‘Yes’

Owen Good — She said yes. You're dying to know, and Kotaku can confirm that for you now. Even though her marriage proposal came from a smart-aleck robot and contained references to herpes and, well, the big A, last night Tora told Ben yes, she will marry him,

The proposal, delivered by Borderlands' comedy-reliefbot Claptrap in a video developed over a week by Gearbox Software, did not conjure images of bended knees, rose petals and those silhouetted DeBeers ads. It was a little inappropriate. That's OK. "We're a little inappropriate," Tora said.
"I think ‘Wow,' has replaced 90 percent of my vocabulary," said Tora, a diehard Borderlands fan like her fiance, Ben. "Every time I try to say something it's just, ‘Wow.' ‘Holy crap.' ‘Wow!' It blows my mind Ben was not only able to think of this, and he had the courage to try it and ask Gearbox to do it, but they actually responded and were more than willing to help out.

"From a gamer's point of view, what more could you ask for than this?" she said.

Rewind: Ben and Tora live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, not far from Gearbox's Plano headquarters. When they first met, Ben had to have a very serious, somewhat uncomfortable conversation about his lifestyle. You know: "I'm a gamer."

As luck would have it, so is Tora. Neither knew of the other's video game habit until Ben brought it up. And Borderlands was easily the favorite game of both. (They're both level 61, Ben playing as Roland, Tora as Lilith.)

"One of the greatest indicators, early on, that we were compatible, she found a red chest, and in it she found a caustic rocket launcher. And she started giggling," Ben said.

"I'm really bad at video games, so I do a lot of RPGs," Tora said. "I picked up Borderlands and, hey, I love the guy, but I kinda kicked his ass."

"She did," Ben affirms. "I've been playing first person shooters since Wolfenstein 3D."

So a few months ago, as it became apparent that they were headed for the wedding aisle, Ben hatched a crazy plan. Not really a plan, actually, just a request. Would Gearbox send Claptrap to do a proposal video? If not, no biggie, Ben said, he still wanted the studio to know that they are big fans of the game and grew close while playing it.

That was really funny. I'm kind of curious about how he executed it--did he write a script, or did he just propose the idea and Gearbox went nuts with it?

Re: Borderlands

That's great, although I feel sorry for Gearbox...now they're going to get inundated with emails from people wanting to do the same thing.

If you go to the article it talks about that. They said "Yeah, it was inappropriate at times, but we are inappropriate people"

Gearbox wrote it, but even though at times it was a bit risqué (2 words Skaggy style). They both seem to have a great sense of humor and loved it.

There is also a video on the article showing him playing that for her and their friends (under the auspice of being a borderlands 2 trailer) and her accepting.

Re: Borderlands

Wow does this game get repetitive and money is basically useless. Still it is pretty fun but for me Fallout is a much better game. I am almost finished but am playing some of the download content as well. Just one area to go before the vault.

Can you play the DLC if you finish the game?

Re: Borderlands

Yes and once you finish the game there's a second playthrough which is the same but the enemies re-scale to your level.

Comparing this to Fallout is pretty much a flaw. This is an action game with light RPG elements. Fallout is an RPG with pause-able action sequences.

is there a full-proof or easy way to upgrade XP significantly w/out playing online or co-op?

just go fight the strong enemies and bosses over and over. I put around 120 hrs into the game playing solo. I played online for 30 minutes.

Re: Borderlands

scott, are you on Live? If so, I wouldn't mind playing a little with you some time to quickly ramp up your level. My BFF is sick of the game after playing it with me for 1 1/2 yeas, but I'm still game for an occasional round.

Re: Borderlands

I haven't fired up the game in I don' when. But after going thru and leveling all four characters to 60 I guess you can call it burn out. If you need a 3rd or 4th to tag along throw my name in but I bet I couldn't even find 'Crawermax".

PS...if and when you do the "Craw" check your weapon proficencies so to raise them accordingly.
