I'd pay for Rock Band: Rolling Stones, without a doubt. But I won't be buying these live tracks.

New GH5 Avatar items on the marketplace: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/av...5-d80241560840

Like I said before. I can't wait for Rock Band Avatar merch to wear inside GH5

Oh boy. More Avatar items to buy. And they're for Guitar Hero, my favorite brand of music rhythm game. I'll go buy them all right now.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

My buddy is going to be having a song of his released for free on GH5 at some point. I think that's pretty a pretty damn cool opportunity for an unsigned artist.

No doubt. And that's really better than putting it out yourself on something like RBN.

GH:WT released the Dueling Banjos song performed by Steve Ouimette. I'm going to have fun with this.

I've been waiting for that song for quite a while to show up somewhere. It wasn't nearly as fun as I had anticipated .

Yeah, especially since it will be free...even established artists don't necessarily get to do that. I'm slightly jealous

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

I recently picked up the dual guitar bundle of World Tour at Target on clearance. I've been playing for days just fine with one of the guitars. I had friends over tonight, so we busted out the second guitar. It played for a little while, then the green and red buttons stopped working. Anyone else encounter this? It seems my next step is going to Target tomorrow, hoping they have bundles left and exchanging.

I went through 5 WT guitars in 3 days before I got one that worked right.

I agree but I am hoping that Rock Band opens a section up and maybe has some Beatles stuff in there.

Would be stupid not to. Of course, GH5 actually uses avatars in-game, so they've likely had a greater fire to create this content.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

Well, I finally decided to pull the trigger on the Amazon GH5/VH deal with the $10 coupon, MP3 stuff, etc....and what do you know but the ECA is out of codes and don't know when they will get more.

Is something telling me to stay away.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

Here's the list of songs that will supposedly export

You do not need the disc, only the code on the manual. My download was 1.27GB. There's a seperate download for GH:Smash Hits (Greatest Hits if you're not in the US) and one for Band Hero. The DLC also has a small download.

The list of songs I'm seeing right now is as follows:-

About a girl - Nirvana
Are you gonna go my way - Lenny Kravitz
Band on the Run - Wings
Dammit - Blink 182
Demolition Man - Sting
Do it Again - Steely Dan
Everlong - Foo Fighters (handy for a chord based bonus challenge for ESP sponsor gig!)
Heartbreaker - Pat Benatar
Hollywood nights - Bob Seger and the silver bullet band
The Joker - The Steve Miller Band
The Kill - 30 Seconds to Mars
L'Via L'Viaquez - The Mars Volta
Lazy Eye - Silversun Pickups
Livin' on a Prayer - Bon Jovi
Love Spreads -The Stone Roses
The Middle - Jimmy Eat World
Never Too Late - The Answer
No Sleep Til Brooklyn - Beastie Boys
Obstacle 1 - Interpol
One Armed Scissor - At the Drive-In
One Way or Another - Blondie
Our Truth - Lacuna Coil
Overkill - Motorhead
Re-Education Through Labor - Rise Against
Santeria - Sublime
Shiver - Coldplay
Soul Doubt - Nofx
Spiderwebs - No Doubt
Stillborn - Black Label Society
Stranglehold - Ted Nugent
Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Today - Smashing Pumpkins
Toy Boy - Stuck in the sound
Up around the Bend - Creedence
You're gonna say yeah - Hushpuppies

That thread on Xbox.com seems to indicate that Activision hasn't "flipped the switch" on all the songs yet.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

With Petty hitting Rock Band tomorrow I decided to cancel my GH5 pre-order(Petty & Mellencamp were the two biggest names in 5 for me). Even with ECA, Prime, GHLR for free and $15 in incentives I just can't justify the cost. I was going to justify it since WT is exportable but looking back over that track list, I get a giant 'meh feeling.

On the gamefly queue it goes.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

I'm on the fence. I really don't have much interest in GH5 at all, but $30 for it and $30 for the Van Halen game...eh, that'd work for me. I really just want to know if I can use my Rock Band cymbals on the PS3 versions of these games. If I can, I'll bite. If not, I won't bother.

(The RB cymbals work on the Xbox 360 version of GH:WT, but on the PS3, whacking a cymbal gives a "controller disconnected" error and pauses the game.)

Damn, GH5 has The Doors. RB needs to come out with them as soon as possible.

That better be the case...if less than half of the tracks are actually exportable from GH:WT, then I will be strongly reconsidering a day one purchase, even with the free GH:VH offer....

My bad.

Reportedly, Guitar Hero 5 has "Smells Like Teen Spirit" I would think they should advertise that a little more. In fact, that really should be their whole marketing campaign versus a digital Shirley Manson.
