That's for PS3 and 360; with the Wii version, the songs can be downloaded on a track-by-track basis.

From post #105. The specifics haven't been announced yet.
What is it with these games not allowing you to just copy over the songs you want? I thought maybe it was something to do with licensing, but that doesn't apply to the Wii version.

Yes if they are playing a Chapman Stick.

I don't recall any King Crimson in the GH games.

Actually, GH5 has 21st Century Schizoid Man, but there's no Chapman Stick on that track.

Apparently they are all new versions of the songs to take advantage of new GH5 features. That's why they don't just copy over. It's also why they won't work with World Tour or Smash Hits.

Okay, but I guess I should have said "export" instead of just copy over. What I was getting at was why they make us copy/export all the songs (or at least a group in this case) instead of only the ones we want. I can't delete individual songs on the PS3, but this really should be handled within the game anyway, instead of in the console's interface.

Really the only thing I'll give them credit for anymore. I love those change ups.

Watching Johnny Cash on drums and Bellamy on vocals in that Elton John video makes me want to put a gun in my mouth.

Yeah, I was doing the Expert bass career and then failed this one in about 6.7 seconds flat. I quickly switched to Hard and finished up the Bass career. Little did I know that there is no specific Bass career achievement.

Looks like I will have to do the Expert career on Vocals.

I don't know, they may be hated when you look at the whole GH package, but they've brought some interesting ideas to the table. Unfortunately for every one good idea there are 3 bad ones.

A few other little innovations/areas where RB still falls behind are the countdown from the pause menu, comprehensive stats, and even more than two people being able to play guitar would be a nice addition. I'm a terrible drummer but I'm always the go to guy at our parties since I'm slightly less terrible than everyone else. It would be nice to just sit back with three guitarists even if two people are playing the same chart.

The embargo on reviews is lasting this long? Seriously?

I guess so.

Amazing. Not one review on Metacritic yet. That's crazy.

I have release date delivery for this thru Amazon but they have yet to send me a shipping notice. Do you get anything if you bitch about them not getting it to you for "release date pre-orders?"

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

The Target by me has a few copies of the GHWT Dual Guitar package left for $45. I didn't look that closely at it while I was there due to lack of time but can someone please confirm which two guitars you get in this package? I seem to remember one was all black and the other had the reddish/orange wood grain finish? Or were they both black? Ugh, can't remember. If there are two different guitars in the package, what are the differences?

And finally, I'm not that interested in GHWT as I have RB2 and prefer it over GHWT, however, $45 for a game plus 2 wireless guitars seem like a good deal??

Thanks

Maybe they're all too busy playing Beatles Rock Band to write anything up

And the intern they pushed it off too is really taking his time to get it right to make a name for himself

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

Only one is the 9.5. Must be legit since it is being advertised by GH.

Even though I am disappointed by the song choices of some of the nicely chosen artists, I am looking forward to this game. $90 for GH 5, GH V, RB Beatles is an amazing value. Also have my GH SH code ready to go so hopefully that will be up for importing soon.

Even the commercial frustrates me. Can't think of a new idea? Just redo the GH:WT / GH:M commercials? Ugh.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

And this is interesting:

7. It says that it will be delivered in 6-weeks. What does that mean?

Your game will arrive within 6-weeks of the day you redeem your code. Example: If you redeem your code on Tuesday, Sept. 1st, you will receive your copy of Guitar Hero® Van Halen® no later than Tuesday, Oct. 13.
So what's the point of waiting to release Van Halen in December?

To have this promo/incentive to get people to buy Guitar Hero 5 instead of Beatles.

2 things:

1) Why is there not a nude version of this commercial?

2) Is that Matt Pinfield doing the voice-over?

That's it, next time I'm in OKC, I'm coming over and I'll play with your frets while you strum yourself. Then we'll switch. We'll mutually unlock each others achievement.

To be fair, there is 'suck' and there is failing at 5%. That is on a whole 'nother level of suckitude.

Be careful, pinata - you don't want to get gamerscore all over the living room.
