Geez. Once you get past 2112, it's back to the old Neversoft knuckle-busting chore of a game. Combined with the stupid story, I might be done with this already.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

I'm finding Expert on this game more difficult than GH5. The very first "setlist" had me failing out on some stuff. Usually I can make it 2/3 into the game before shifting from Expert to Hard on guitar.

Funny I was just about to post the exact same thing.

I am interested in trying this GH out but as I have with the last few releases, unless I get a game or two free with it, I will wait until it hits $20 or less.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

Is there seriously no way to unlock songs through a cheat code? I swear every song I want to play is locked, and after playing like 3 or 4 shitty songs in a row, I've decided I just want to play the few songs I like and return it.

To drag this back up: I made it this level last night, and Renegade seems to be the same re-record from Rock Band. Same with Night Ranger. They are both listed as 2009 versions.

Fair enough. I wonder why Mr. Roboto is the only master Styx recording in existence then.

I finished the "game". Except for the 2112 stage, I never want to play this POS again.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

Working on the Quest mode - thank god I only rented it. So far it's fucking terrible in all areas. There are a few good tunes here and there, but a lot of below average fare mixed in.... my main question is WHO WAS THIS GAME MADE FOR? I mean, I'm too old to think this "Morphing into a monster" shit is cool but they've got some decent classic rock stuff (rush etc.) in here for the older audience... I think the teens who dig the concept of the game will be lamenting the lack of more 'mainstream' music - thinking there is too much old metal/classic rock stuff... which means that most gamers will walk away from this one disappointed.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

It was clearly made for expert guitarists who are at the top of their game. People who want really "awesome" charts and so forth.

It's sad when a demo makes you -less- interested in getting the full game...but that's what happened for me.

My wife was like "Sweet, you unlocked a bunch of stuff!" Then, it was all groans except for Unskinny Bop and Pour Some Sugar On Me.

Setlist fail.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock - Rocktober Track Pack

Free for one week, you can download the Rocktober Track Pack DLC.

http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/ga...0883?cid=SLink

Track Pack featuring "The Infection" by Disturbed, "Resistance" by Muse, and "Na Na Na" by My Chemical Romance.

The individual songs are free incase you don't want all 3 in the pack.

But free songs for a week is nice. If you have the game, might as well add these free songs.

DLC for the 26th is three songs from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Time Warp is one of them. I forget the other two.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

Thanks Vryce. I know I will eventually pick up this game (15 bucks or less) so I went ahead and downloaded it for the future. Muse and Disturbed are two of my favorite groups.

My guess would be Hot Patootie - Bless My Soul because of Meatloaf and Sweet Transvestite since it's one of the more well-known songs.

Just went back and looked at it.. You are correct. Hot Patootie and Sweet Transvestite are the other two.

Any idea if these work in GH5?

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

Ouch. GH:WoR sold about 86,000 copies in its first week. That can't be very much better than Green Day: Rock Band did.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

I usually get press releases from Activision about every little thing. I can't imagine why I haven't gotten one about WoR's sales figures.
