Guys, this game sucks. The story is stupid, the accuracy is way off, even after calibration...don't waste your money on this pile of crap.

I thought the Metallica transfer was supposed to be free. I put in my code and PSN wants to change 5.99. WTF?
EDIT: Nevermind apparently I missed the part about having to go to the GH website and redeeming codes there. Not surprising considering I had dig for the damn link myself.

2112 sounds like the studio tracks to me but I think hearing the individual parts outside of the original mix is making it sound funky. Something about the original mix just gelled it all together into something magical sounding.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread
I gotta be honest, I've been so completely checked out on the GH franchise and just going through the motions playing each release that I don't mind the story aspect. The characters having powers and it affecting the song in some fashion is ok with me. But again, I don't take the franchise serious anyway, so what does it really matter at this point. I'm totally fine with a version that isn't just play 5 songs, go here play 5 songs, go here play 5 songs.
(That and there's a number of tracks in here that I want in RB, so it's nice to be able to play them at all, even if it is with the completely blown out timing window and overcharted mess that is GH.) We'll see if I still feel into it when I get to more of the metal stuff. Not looking forward to it.

As far as 2112 is concerned, the Overture and Temples of Syrinx are taken from live tracks. Those aren't re-recorded. Geddy hasn't been able to hit those notes in years. The rest are studio.
As a ginormous Rush fan, I can justify getting the game for the 2112 level. It's FANTASTIC. The narration by the band is a great touch. The rest I can take or leave. It's little more than a very expensive expansion pack at this point, with a Quest bonus if you're into it.

So according to http://hub.guitarhero.com/metallicaimport/ it only works to import Metallica into warriors of rock? You can't simply export it to use in all GH games like you could with Rock Band and Green Day?

The 2112 tracks sound like they are from studio version...they just sound like they are mixed differently. Even when they did it live back in the day Geddy had trouble hitting those notes at times. Now they do it tuned down a bit so he does not have as much trouble.

According to this, GHM exports into Band Hero, GH5, and GHWOR:

I went ahead and picked it up. The story mode is just embarrassing, but the game play is pretty much GH5. It'll get the job done for the next few weeks.

I like it, only played it last night on guitar and i have yet to try the drums(drums are more my thing) and i found it quite fun. Felt like it went back to the glory of GH3.
And on the whole RB VS GH debate. I like both. It's as simple as that, yes if i HAD to choose to play only one music franchise it would definitely be RB since it IS the better game, but i don't HAVE to choose so i get both. I have all the GHs and all the RBs and i will for sure get RB3.
Rock Band is the clear winner but i still very much enjoy Guitar Hero!
