Goddamit I want that Interpol song in RB! (Course I'd rather have "Evil", so maybe RB will still hook me up.)

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

Did I know "Wish" by Nine Inch Nails was on this setlist? I remember Trent Reznor saying he'd taken the GH/RB thing as far as he wanted because he was basically pissed off that people could "beat" his songs on the first day and he thought it was taking away from the experience or majesty or some other pretentious shit.

Either way, I want that song in Rock Band

Good to see The Rx Bandits make it onto a disc

Ok, why do they have 2112 separated into different parts?

I'm totally jealous of that and Indians though

They probably have it in sections so you can practice later parts without having to go through the whole thing every time.

Oh, and continuing the real theme of the thread...

Rockin' in the Free World.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

When it hits $20 two weeks after release I'll get this like I always do. And I'll play it for one weekend and then it will rot on the bottom of the pile for eternity like it always does.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

So of this setlist, my only interests would be:

* Aerosmith – "Cryin'"
* Alice Cooper – "No More Mr. Nice Guy"
* Blue Öyster Cult – "Burnin' For You"
* Def Leppard – "Pour Some Sugar On Me (Live)"
* Dire Straits – "Money For Nothing"
* Muse – "Uprising"
* Poison – "Unskinny Bop"
* Styx – "Renegade"

No way can I justify a purchase. Not even from the bargain bin.

Now, I did play Band Hero for the first time over the weekend. For an Activision music game, it's great. It took all the improvements GH5 made and added a solid playlist. I'd buy a Band Hero 2 in a heartbeat.

* Alice Cooper – "No More Mr. Nice Guy"
* Avenged Sevenfold – "Bat Country"
* Blue Öyster Cult – "Burnin' For You"
* Def Leppard – "Pour Some Sugar On Me (Live)"
* Dire Straits – "Money For Nothing"
* Foreigner – "Feels Like The First Time"
* George Thorogood and The Destroyers – "Move It On Over (Live)"
* KISS – "Love Gun"
* Linkin Park – "Bleed It Out"
* Lynyrd Skynyrd – "Call Me The Breeze (Live)"
* Muse – "Uprising"
* Poison – "Unskinny Bop"
* Queensrÿche – "Jet City Woman"
* Rush – "2112
* Styx – "Renegade"
* Tesla – "Modern Day Cowboy"
* The White Stripes – "Seven Nation Army"
* ZZ Top – "Sharp Dressed Man (Live)"

Do you know for certain that the GH one isn't? I haven't listened to it yet.

Not specifically, but in all the GH press I've read they've always noted when a version is a live recording or a re-record. Also, they had Mr. Roboto in Band Hero, and that was the original version.

Did Dennis DeYoung perform tamborine or something on Renegade? Tommy Shaw was always the lead singer on Renegade.

Maybe he's just not happy that the "HYAAAA!" yell that DeYoung did in the transition from the intro to the rest of the song isn't the same.

Okay maybe not, but when the re-record was released, I actually saw people on the Rock Band forums saying "The re-record sounds almost identical, but the new yell ruins it for me."

He did background vocals on that one. It just rubbed me the wrong way because the re-records were done simply so DeYoung wouldn't get any of the cash from the songs being in Rock Band.
