720 points now, rumored to be dropping down to 320 or thereabouts. I stay away from non-free GH DLC on general principle, but five Stones tracks for less than five bucks is hard for me to pass up.

The Rolling Stones Live Track Pack is now on sale for 360 points, normally 720. Includes live versions of Prodigal Son, You Gotta Move, Under My Thumb, I'm Free, and (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction.

I dislike the Stones, but I would buy this if only it were in Rock Band. I would have no doubt passed on the pack at full price, but for < $1 each, I would have done it for other people.

I would have bought the pack had it been in RB, but I just couldn't bite, despite the discount.

So GH: Van Halen is out at retail. I haven't seen one commercial or placement in a sales ad.

They were giving it away for free with GH5, I think they know this game isnt going to do well, and apperently from Reviews I have read, its getting trashed, so Activision doesnt want to spend marketing money is my guess...

In the end, I couldn't bring myself to buy it, either. I've only got 300 points and didn't feel like buying a bunch more just for this pack. So I went out and bought Lego Rock Band instead. Actually paying for downloadable GH stuff just feels so. . . dirty. No matter how good a deal it is.

They should have released it a year ago. Not sure what delayed it so much.

Into The Void is fantastic -- Iommi's opening riff is just a beast, but I freakin' love After Forever, with that sweet "Paperback Writer" bassline at the beginning and one of their most powerful, thundering riffs.

Damn why couldn't these be available for RB? I was done with GH, now I gotta dig out the disc again.

Is there a way to know if Semi-Charmed Life is the same version on the Van Halen game? That one was a new (and edited for content) recording, not the version on the radio.

Semi-Charmed Life is not part of the track pack. The third song is "Never Let You Go."

That's a shame. Never Let You Go was an fun song, but I don't know that I'd buy it for GH. Trying to limit DLC to RB for simplicity's sake.

Is my controller done? I tried to play gh5 the other day.. i hadn't played in a long time.. my controller, its the les paul didn't regester.. no matter how hard i pushed the buttons.. i thought it might be the batteries but i put in some new energizers and nothing.. has this happened to any of you? is it fixable? thanks for any imput.

yea its synced cause the green and red buttons work.. its the others that don't.

If it's only a couple of buttons then you might be able to fix it yourself. I had to do this fix myself when the blue quit working.

Open it up and look at the neck you'll see something like this:

- = wire
[] = plastic part of neck
| = electronics chip
O = fret buttons

OOOOO---------[|]

now remove the chip and move it out of its housing so it's closer to the end of the neck like so:

OOOOO---------[ ]|

It was a fairly common problem with that guitar. When you put the neck back in you're really going to have to force it in, but once you do, everything should work great.

I had to do the same fix for my old Les Paul. This video shows how to do it. Just try to ignore the dude's disgusting feet.

That fix worked for mine for quite a while. Recently, though, I started having dropped notes again and it looks like a few of the contacts are fairly worn. I'm probably just going to solder the connections. Presumably that should work much better.
