Maybe they printed the 360 version of the package instead of the PS3 version... or maybe it didn't have the promotional only - not for sale garbage.

Maybe I'll go back to playing Amplitude... and regain the innocence of a world before the powers-that-be united against the Playstation Nation.

Downloading the Demo for sure - I was only really looking forward to the Taylor Swift/Finger Eleven stuff mostly anyhow, so this is pretty sweet.

Me too. One day back in ought 3 I was returning a rental car and was walking by a club and I see these dudes who were hanging out front chatting, and one was wearing a hockey jersey...because i live in Portland, this is pretty rare so I started talking to him. He starts going on about being in this band, Finger 11, blah blah. So I was like, 'Oh yeah I totally used to listen to you when you were called Rainbow Butt Monkeys, I dug that Circles tune.' He was taken aback, called over another dude from the band and told him and then he got my name and put it on the guest list for the show that night. I didn't bother going because it was the Nintendo tour with Evanesence who i didn't/don't care for.

Well, apart from their foray into following the trends with their second album, with all promo pics making them look 'hardcore' and shit, they've pretty much just done their own thing since and they are really nice guys. Met them a few times and worked on one of their music videos.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread
Just saw on IGN the full track listing for Band Hero....but the more important thing I saw was that 61 (of the 65) BH tracks will be importable into GH5!
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/103/1036302p1.html
"The week Band Hero hits store shelves, 69 tracks from the acclaimed Guitar Hero 5 will be available to import for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 480 Microsoft Points, on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system for $5.99, and Wii for 600 Wii Points. In addition, 61 of the chart-topping hits featured in Band Hero can be imported into Guitar Hero 5 for Xbox 360 for 420 Microsoft Points, on the PlayStation 3 system for $4.99, and Wii for 500 Wii Points. The previously released forward compatible songs from Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero Smash Hits will also be available for import into Band Hero at launch. Finally, Guitar Hero fans can play almost all of their previously purchased Guitar Hero downloadable content in Band Hero, for a music library of up to 300 tracks."

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread
You know, as I was playing Guitar Hero 5, i thought to myself "okay this is finally on par with Rock Band 2"
BUT, then we had a Rock Band/Guitar Hero party. After watching how the beginner charts were so difficult in Guitar Hero, that led me back to believing Rock Band is still superior. Sure you're playing with only 3 of the frets, but you're playing EVERY SINGLE NOTE on easy which is not very user friendly. Then Beginner does the exact same thing where you just strum every note. The people who never played before were getting frustrated with Guitar Hero. They much preferred Rock Band.

I got my VH for PS3 today. I'm not impressed at all with the cheap ass packaging. They could have sent us a complete game with the not for resale on the back lacking a bar code.

Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread

Explain to me how it is OK and considered good, clean, wholesome American fun to take your kids to a NASCAR race or let them watch one on TV, with cars sponsored by Jim Beam and Jack Daniels....and yet this stupid company feels the need to remove this from their game....
Way to ruin a classic, Activision....

Looks like Neversoft want's to get in the nut kicking business. They can't let Harmonix have their moment, now can they?
