Re: Guitar Hero: The One and Only Thread
Here's what's funny about that set list, in my opinion of course...
There are some horrible fucking songs in there, but at least they are mainstream, ie Culture Club/Village Peeps, etc...
This may be the best GH setlist to date. My biggest gripe about the other GH's was too many songs I never heard before. Well, at least I heard of almost all of these. They may not be of bands I like, but I can get into a song that I know.

I want Rock Band to get Poison, not this game, booooooo!
Looks like I'm also going to have to rent this one, specifically for Spice Girls, Culture Club, Marvin Gaye, and Styx.....Mr. Roboto FTW!!

I passed on Guitar Hero 5, but I'll pick this up when it drops to around $40 or so after a week or two, very happy with the setlist, although I think that Pour Some Sugar On Me would have been a perfect fit for this game.

Finally some Everclear. Of course it's fucking Santa Monica, but hey...at least they're taking it from the right album. Lots of stuff I look forward to playing on there. Honestly even if I don't like the music, I'd rather play Top 40 stuff that I don't like than metal and progressive stuff that I don't like.

It will come as no surprise that the Van Halen tracks are fun. Like Metallica you start with two VH songs (Panama & Running with the Devil) and then are thrust head first into a half dozen other bands. Fortunately this game is molded after Metallica so it only takes a few stars to unlock the next set.
I'm still holding a grudge. I mean you can dump all 20 of the other artists and have room for 20 Hagar tracks. It's just asinine the way they handled this. I mean really, you start out with a couple VH classics and follow it up with Stacy's Mom?
What a fucking joke.
And what era are the band members of VH modeled after? They look worse than the Aerosmith caricatures.
