That was me when I was running around all creation to try to hop in that APC. And then I accidentally jumped out when I tried to pop open the hatch and shoot some bitches with the rocket launcher. (Then I got dead while yelling "No, come back!!)

Now I remember. It was kind of funny to watch.

And if you're me, you add "Flipperbaby SUICIDE" to the end of that maneuver.

I saw someone was using health mines last night too.

Speaking of suicide, on that first CTF map, I think I committed suicide at least ten times. It was my first time on that map, and whenever I couldn't find a bridge I would try and jump a jeep to a lower island, and couldn't tell where to jump at and would usually drown.

And I'm proud to say I only got balled once.

good to know. I thought all mines were banned.

The main thing that keeps getting me frustrated week after week is being on foot (because all the base vehicles are gone) and being taken out by warhawks (TOWs and Balls).


That and spawn-point sniping. But, that's a rarer occurrence.

I think they're called Biofield Generators...or something like that...and yes, they are kosher.

Spawning with no vehicles is absolutely my pet peeve.

One Tuesday, I think I'd like to do a "no-Warhawk" Warhawk night. The downside, is that it would make chasing down a flag-carrier in a jeep virtually impossible...but a more robust defensive strategy could be used.

You certainly won't get any argument from me on that plan......

No problem. Don't know why you should be sorry though. It's not like you said you hated CTF in the Grinder. I mean, come on. Who doesn't love a good CTF in the Grinder!

the funny shit that happened to me this week...

-The crater map, I'm chasing the a tank with a flag and A guy with a Jet pack is coming at me, so i grab a jeep and take off, figuring I can put enough distance between us that i can successfully take out the tank. I chase the tank around the crater and I'm standing next to the edge with the binoculars, which never work for me, and aiming at the tank, and then i hear the knife being drawn, I think that might have been chew...down I go.
- I love that after i chase a tank either on foot or in a jeep and get blown all to shit, someone (friz maybe?) always points out "what were you gonna do if you caught that tank?"
- the last map, was a DM, I see Flip get in a jeep, and im like, cool, I'll grab the machine gun on the back and we can drive around and machine gun some peeps, he stops and jumps out and I'm like "cool, who are we killing" and i spin the turret around and then i hear the knife get drawn and i realize, "shit it is me we are killin'!" I die and then he jumps back in the jeep, backs over my corpse, and drives off...
- same map, not sure who it was, Friz maybe, but they were on the bridge with the RL aiming at the skies and i saw them, I jumped in a jeep and took off across the bridge, at the last moment, they looked at me and fired...Boom goes R2...i respawned and jumped in another jeep...but this time he wasn;t paying attention...SPLAT...i felt vindicated....

Good times though, I had a lot of fun this week...I am going to be off for 2 weeks, I am going on vacation until the Saturday after Thanksgiving, starting tomorrow and I'm pretty sure I'm not taking my PS3...

Something similar happened to me on the bridge map where there was just the one bridge in between the two city camps. Someone ran me over while I was aiming the rocket launcher, so I re-spawned and hopped in the jeep going full speed down the bridge and I ran down two unsuspecting people hoping one of them was the motha' that ran me down a few second earlier. I think those were two of my three kills for that map, haha.
