No RDR tonight, I guess.
NO!

I think Chess is behind this.

You really should get RDR, Digi.

Cool...and hopefully folks understand where I'm coming from...just want him to feel like there's hope.

The only map I really about lost my cookies was the CTF Archipelago with Z and chess on the same team both hanging out at the base almost the whole round.
Ironically, I purposefully jumped in a tank and played defense that round because 1) I'm not that great in a tank and 2) I knew the teams were a bit lopsided.

I am sticking to my 1 binoc = 1 TOW retribution theory.
This amuses me...and I kind of feel bad for Slider, Steve and nic (our resident binoc spammers).

Funniest moment of the night for me: I'm flying on Archipelago and catch Slider out the corner of my eye going under the bridge to get the binoculars. I hovered up under the bridge and covered that whole ledge with BALLS.

I also like the "Slider rule" on TOWS, which stipulates that you can TOW Slider as often as you want until you hear him complain.

Alright bitches...falling off the front page.

I'll try to talk Lee into getting the DLC this week.

Any requests?

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Tuesday's iffy for me this week.

If I have to miss out on Tuesday shenanigans, what's the status of Weekly Tuesday Warhawk Presents: Wednesday Night Red Dead Redemption?

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

WTWP:WNRDR is on for 9/8 Wednesday. We do some private free roam for a while, then TDM/DM/Gold, then back to free roam after the numbers dwindle.

As to Warhawk, I'll make my request once we know what the DLC status is. Will Cruz be on?

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Any chance of a TDM where the aim of it is to get the lowest score possible, basically trying to team kill rather than kill the other team? It could be interesting.

Also, how about a map or two with no TOW, Binoc or sniper? Remove the long range weapons to see how it goes.

I think a couple of you (AHEM) are already playing this game...and it's not interesting.

Actually, that could make for a fun map on a small TDM...something like Fortress or Rumble Dome. I'll think it through and announce the map verbally if I do it.

We're already at no TOWs (which I really like by the way), and I see no purpose in banning sniper rifles (they aren't terribly effective in the modes we play). I'd be very cool with no Binocs/TOWs/mines though.

Really, only you, nic and Slider use binocs with any regularity anyway.

Binocs are effective for killing missile turrets and stopping a flag carrier when they are too close to their home base to stop them any other way.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

We could implement a rule that you can only use Binocs when the other team has your flag.

That's the same way I used TOWs, but I'm not missing them that much. If the flag carrier makes it that far, perhaps they've earned a capture...or perhaps I need to get more accurate with my balls.

The problem, if any, with binocs is that the maps we use are sufficiently large that you can pretty much use them with impunity...which makes them inherently cheap. With a TOW, I'm at least vulnerable for a few seconds, but with binocs, I'm dropping a very powerful weapon on people with virtually zero risk to myself.

The only real downside of using binocs, and it's a big one, is that hiding out and using them makes you more or less worthless to your team [glares at Slider].

Meh. My rule supersedes all others.

I get binoc'd, you get TOW'd.

Hope I can make it tonight.

If I actually tried the other team would never get any captures.

I thought your rule was "I get binoc'd, Slider gets TOW'd"?

If we do DLC can we have the lobby be Grinder? I really like having jeeps.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I've always hated mines, and I didn't mind giving up TOWs, but I kind of feel like killing binocs would be the "bridge too far". I don't think we want to ban every weapon that we don't personally like.

I just try to remind myself that whomever just killed me with binocs took themselves out of the game longer than they took me out.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Awesome games tonight fellas.

The last few games were absolute slaughters but I saw lots of funny stuff before that. Thanks for not pounding Lee into the ground this week. Dude will buy the DLC...just need to keep him on the hook.

100% Team Damage tends to do that.
