I'll give it a try next Tuesday definitely. Controls similar to the usuals like BF and/or CoD? Should I even try to play prior to Tuesday?

My internet connection shut down. Sorry, Flip. I've got the cable guy coming out in a couple hours to have a look. I wish it would have happened before you got that sweet hipfire sniper shot though.
I think we're putting too much stock in Starhawk. It looks like a completely different game.

Good man, Yawmush! Glad you picked it up.
The controls are quite a bit different from BF and CoD.

I agree with Slider. I don't think we should rely on Starhawk to return the masses. Warhawk should continue. I think I've found a great balance of small map insanity that should hold everyone's interest for these leaner months... and after last week's showing I thought we were rolling again.
One thing that needs to happen --- we need to start a little bit later. The lobby has been empty. It's rare that I can make it right at 8 (even though the maps are running). Let's start a little bit later at 8:30pm EST.
I think it's on the regulars -- me, Slider and Nic to bring one other person to the game next week. 6 is the sweet spot for these small maps. Any new guys aren't going to stick around to watch us three jagoffs screw around. Any of the other intermittent moonlighters that show up on top of that is just gravy.

Speaking of which, I drummed a righteous version of Walk Like an Egyptian last night with Nic when we bailed on Warhawk. Too bad you weren't online to do the crooning.

By all means, please keep it rolling!
Warhawk is always at its best when it's chaotic, and you'll definitely need small maps for that.
@ Shum, you can customize controls quite a bit...recommend you play the tutorial and adjust controls before jumping in.

I'd totally be on if I wasn't working, I do miss my Warhawk.
I have a feeling that Starhawk is going to be nothing like Warhawk, one of the many great things about Warhawk is that the vehicles are real vehicles, tanks, jeeps and planes. Bring in transforming spacecraft and it just wouldn't feel the same. My prediction is that Starhawk will blow donkey balls.

I'm a little bit wary of the RTS looking stuff, but am otherwise excited to see what they come up with. That said, I would rather they had just done a straight up sequel and included the original maps.

We're starting a little bit later tonight since early turnout has been non-existent -- I'll have the maps fired up at about 8:30pm EST.

Yes, douchey goodness though. My play session was a little too interrupted by putting kids in PJs and then helping my wife after she hurt her foot. Good times overall though. One of my highlights was shooting down Slider's Warhawk with a Jeep turret as he was stalking Nic outside of the cave at our flag point.

Gang...
Haven't played Warhawk in ages, have changed jobs so I'm traveling almost every week, and had to get a new PS3 'cause my old one bit the dust last week. I was able to get all my data back and on the new one, so I'm almost back to normal.
That being said, I was taken aback today when I saw Frizby's comment on his avatar about Chew. I just wanted to say that I am sorry he passed away - like many of you, I didn't know him, but hearing him when I played, he seemed like a nice guy. RIP, Chew.

It was my fault for forgetting how to get out of the stupid jeep.
