Sweet 2 or 3 more and we'll have a Warhawk posse.

Classic Chew.

You cocksuckers keep this up, and ima hafta get that game!

Unfortunately, the multiplayer in GTA IV lasted about a week IIRC.

Did you have people to play with though? RDR is getting a bunch of free Co-Op DLC next month. If you can, you should try and justify the purchase.

Chew and Flip were obviously hoping most of the Warhawkians would pick it up so we could start a new posse with the same people. Right now all they've got is me, it's like that time I invited the entire third grade class to my birthday party and only the kid who picks his nose showed up.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Fun night, even if it was a mess getting connected (no idea) and only a couple of the games were competitive.

I'll think about RDR....co-op is always appealing.

i had a great time last night. I really enjoyed being TOWed on a non TOW night because I killed someone. I also enjoyed being attacked by a warhawk over and over again on a map the size of my living room. good times.

You should feel honored. You got the one TOW of the evening...and I got the one mine of evening...devious bastard.

I think I'll continue the no-TOW rule into next week. Other than being spammed by missile turrets, it wasn't too bad.

I spent more time than usual on the ground last night, and I'm developing a full appreciation for how irritating people on top of buildings or mountains can be with a pair of binocs...and by "people", I mean Slider and Steve.

It was fun having R2 back. He seemed a bit rusty, but it was good to hear him rag on nic. "The next time I see you in person, I'm going to punch you in the face!"

I'm not one to spend full retail on a game usually, but a Warhawk posse could be a good time....thinking about it. Should we plan on a night every week?

I'd rather just have 4 of us meet up for some Uncharted 2 "horde mode"...mostly because I have little confidence that Rockstar can do 3rd person shooting controls.

When you get it, you'll want to load it up as it has some pretty big updates...and I'd recommend at least playing the tutorial before jumping in next week.

Also, get a headset. Don't be a Slider.

From what I've heard the controls are an improvement over GTA - except for riding horses. I'm not one to buy early in a release either unless everything I hear is outstanding and it has some decent multiplayer.

Played the rental before but i will refresh myself before jumping in with you guys.

Also, get a headset.
Got Turtle beach PX21s but I have to send them back because my right headphone is not working. But I'm holding off until after I try a week with you guys.

Don't be a Slider.
but He's rulebreakingly rebeluously unbootable.

Any other Warhawker who's interested should get it this week, there's plenty of offers out there: Amazon $20 GC, TRU $25.

So, it's really not full retail....it's $35-40.

RUSTY ?!?! I'll have you know I suck that bad all the time...

Best moments of the night:

1. Flip and I on a suicide mission, with me driving a tank and him riding on top with a rocket launcher...we see someone (chew i think) in a tank and we fire, then he fires, then we fire, and he blows up and says "WTF...Hey, you had a rocket launcher too?!?!"

2. Nic2.0 to chess "you got my wife in the back!"

3. Slider and Chew (I believe) rolling tanks into our base on the over the bridge CTF and blowing the shit out of us, as we spawn and respawn and respawn...and then i hear Chess say "they just wont let up" and I was thinking, no they won't, then i realized he was on their team, talking about us being up 2 flags not about the base raping!!!! (not that I am against an occasional base raping, i think it is the funniest thing ever when done in moderation)

4. on the map we don't play often, but I love...the TDM with the new vehicles and giant boulders. I think it was Ktown...chess says "what are you doing" and he said "looking for flags"...ahahahaha...I knew what he meant, but it was still funny...

5. same map, chess says "since we are winning by so much, everybody kill slider" I tried, i swear i did, i chased him and shot him repeatedly with a tank, i just suck, and just as i had a chnce to kill him, Nic 2.0 blow'd me up....later slider got even a few times, but i know i had it coming.

6. same map, I'm flyng around in the big air thing, and nic2.0's wife shoots me, so i go to the base and unload, I unloaded for like 2 minutes, and i still couldnt hit shit, they were scrambling like roaches, i think i only killed them 2-3 times each there, and I should have been able to kill them 5-6 times if I had any aim...

7. the small TDM in the base, I run up onto of a bunker and grab a RL'r and i see someone follow me, and I'm like, ok, teammate no biggie, i aim and lock onto chess and i get stabbed...Nic 2.0 teamkilled me and stole my backpack...so i spawned, it happened to be the bunker right under him, so i climbed up and stabbed his benedict arnold ass...

I'm sure there were others, but these are the one i thought of...Chess, sorry i kept shooting you over our base on supply chain, all i knew was a warhawk was shooting at out base, so i lit it up...I didnt realize you were trying to blow up your own plane to get it back...I also thought it was funny that you were like "there are just too many of them, they are all over us" during hoard mode...that is the point of hoard mode right?

I drove around for like 4 minutes of a map with mines on my bumper and got no kills, on that first map. it was me Nic, Slider and chess...guess who got the worst of that...

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Perhaps when I get my Mario Galaxy credit.

Thing is...if you guys weren't planning to play, I'd have zero interest in the game. I have no nostalgia for the western genre, hate GTA controls, and have several other open-world games to play right now (AC2, Prototype and Red Faction).

so, at TRU, you pay $60 and get a $25GC?

maybe i will buy it. I don't really like single player games, I have never finished any of the COD story modes, i just get no joy out of it, so for me to buy something, it has to have online appeal. will it be worth it to me, if I never play the story mode?

I played the crap out of Borderlands with chess. Not more than an hour of that was single-player. I fully got my money out of it.

The TRU deal is only if you have their membership card, I believe.

I don't have a huge interest in the game either. It's the multi-player, great reviews, and possiblity to play with Warhawkers that made me buy it.

I'm the same way, and I think it will be. Next month they're releasing DLC co-op missions that you can play with friends online, they have numerous game matches online like TDM and some capture the flag type games. Plus, even if you don't like single player storymodes, everybody has to enjoy terrorizing civilians in open-world games.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Awesome list R2.

"You got my wife in the back."
"Must be Tuesday!"
"Where are you going?"
"I'm looking for flags."
"If you're looking for flags, I'm getting out right here!"
I also had a good laugh at balling 3 of you at once.

I had a hilarious moment on Archipelago in a burning jeep...where you hit that repair gear right before going down the hill...nic is coming up the hill also in a burning jeep (I assume), and I get to the gear right before him and run his ass over right as he peaks the hill. It happened so fast, I never even saw him, and I doubt he saw me!

The lack of TOWs was actually kind of liberating for me, since I normally give so much thought to whether I use them or not. I suspect it will force me to get really good with the BALLS and missiles.
