Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Fun night, will post more about it later, but I just wanted to say I don't care for the matches where we tremendously outbalance the teams, let that side get a few flags, and then turn the tables, and then do it again, etc. until the match is over. I'd rather spend the first minute or so balancing, and then keep the teams the way they are for the rest of the match.

I agree. I always check first thing, but it ultimately comes down to which team digi is on. If I had a Z, or even a combo of a few of the more seasoned guys, I have a chance, but otherwise, I'm completely outclassed...especially if I'm outnumbered numerically as well.
Horde-mode was going well until a few other people dropped in...then it was stacked the other way
Grinder was epic...and hilarious. Flip...
Kudos to Chew for some tremendous tank-work tonight.

Favorite moment for me was watching three enemy jeeps converge on Island outpost and nuking them all at once.

Tank shots are much easier when those pesky Warhawks aren't moving around so much.
(especially when you sneak up behind one)Also, that island dogfight was a lot more fun last time when I was on the other island. We were more exposed on our side.

On a happier note, Borderlands came in the mail yesterday.

My B-lands shipped, apparently. Hopefully it'll be a clean copy with all the stuff included.
South Islands was not fun at all, as one team has a huge advantage...or at least seems to.

I saw at least 3-4 "TeamKills" on the screen last night, that's why I was confused.
Edit: From the Warhawk wiki:
A violation of the terms of service?
Edit: From the Warhawk wiki:
Team Kill
The act of killing a teammate.
This is harder to do when Friendly Fire is disabled, but it is possible.
Try not to do this. You get negative points, annoy players, and, since excessive teamkilling would be a disruption of game flow, it would actually be a violation of Sony's Terms of Service.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Thanks for that by the way.
Basically, with team damage off, you just have to blow up something (crates/barrels/vehicles) that are next to your teammate. It would be tough to do on purpose, but is absolutely possible for the clinically inept (i.e. nic).

I'd like to make a Warhawk joke in this Otter thread, but nobody will get it.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
I think I've got this game down pretty well now. The only thing I suck at still is in air combat against other Warhawks. I can rock pretty hard at taking out turrets and dodging tank shots, but put me up against another Warhawk and I'm flustered. I just don't have the hand-eye coordination to swerve, lock on, and fire at the same time.

Any time I see Slider within 100 yards of a missile turret, I make sure to nuke him.
It's the only way to be sure.
